Mark when does mesa shut down for overseed? I think I am about 4 weeks away from making an attempt at a round. The staples come out tomorrow and ill start to progress much faster in physical therapy.

They close for most of October. Matt I'm actually going to resign my membership at the end of September, I love the course but I'm not happy there with some other things that they kind of failed to tell me about when I joined, and ony found out about upon my first billing statement re: increased dues, course being closed for half of 2013. So yeah haha.

Yeah its lame man. needless to say, it doesnt set a very good precedent  when none of this was mentioned during our initial visits or when we decided to pull the trigger. There's some other stuff too, like I went up there on a Monday with the plans to play all day. SO I took a cart ($15) which isnt a big deal, but was bummed that it would have cost me a cart fee for each round instead of a daily fee like I was used to at Ahwatukee. So I rode 18, walked 18, then went to get food only to find out that the resteraunt, the bar, and the patio grill are all closed on Monday, so I was SOL there. Also I like playing with all of you guys too much, and so far, in my 6 or 7 rounds, Ive always played solo. Im not sure if I fit in to the private club lifestyle either haha.

I can't do Tuesday, but I will be in town starting the 17th on a road trip down to see my girlfriend.  Most of the weekend is booked (cards preseason game, gf's birthday, etc), but I will be open during the week starting on the 20th and looking to fit in a few rounds while the gf is teaching.  Let me know if you need a fill-in for a foresome.  Figured it'd be fun to meet up with some WRXers while I am out there.

What a blast that was this morning Mark.  You kill the ball, definitely fun to play with a good player as I've been playing a lot with slow high handicappers and the pace this AM was perfect.

Nice pitch in from 40yards too!  Look forward to playing more together and meeting up with the other local guys.

Damn, you guys are good players. I'm changing my mind about trying to hook up and play with some of the Phoenix crew this winter ( I won a round for a 4some at Quintero ((which I know zero about)) so I have an excuse to finally make it there this winter).

The benefit of year round golf means no rusty season    :-)

Quinterro is a solid track, was meant to be private until the real estate market crashed now they take limited public play.

I'll let you know Joe, my days I can play pretty much depends on my wife's schedule which varies week to week.

If I would have known the birdies would come from the trees I would have aimed there more   Seriously though, that was weird...and the "3putt" on 18 is still stinging.
No sweat on the tempo tip- Like I said, the small things I stay away from advising on so beyond what we talked about would be a crapshoot for me.  Glad that it's working for you though!

Love Quintero....bring extra balls and a range finder that can shoot hills and cactus! It will help you navigate shots as there are a couple awkward layup holes that will through you for a loop if you don't know where to hit it and distances.

....and for anyone worried about playing with better players, that's what golf is all about- having multiple skill levels, net games, and just sharing a passion with strangers. Schedule permitting, Im always game to play with anyone one of any skill level, especially random courses around the valley.

Lastly!- lets try to plan a fall/winter meet somewhere this year. Reading some of the WITB/sigs make me want to see some of these collections and play a round with you all.
