Had the pleasure of meeting fellow WRX'er BenJackson today at Stanford Golf range and enjoyed a little bit of a nice WRX mini-get together. Of course, as WRX goes, we had the finest bags in the land. LOL.

So after trying his FIT with an Ahina 60X (and of course, the 6.7 handicap doesn't show up to hit a golf ball, I look more like a 26.7), I start to think what shafts work well in that head, as I know it' has amazing potential. I've seen it, but only once with my current setup.

Ben KILLS IT. My feeble attempt just left me scratching my head, but the mad scientist in me go me thinking about what other shafts to try.

So what are others having success with on this head??

I went to a recent Callaway Demo Days in which I was able to try all types of shafts. It was SO much fun, albeit indoors though.  That's not may favorite. I tried the Fubuki Alpha 60 and 70 (SO SMOOTH), the Matrix Radix 6 and 7 (string straight bit my swing and spin were awful), all types of Diamanas, NV's, and some other shafts I don't quite remember. The Fubuki Alpha felt the smoothest, while the Matrix Radix 7 was the straightest at least that day.

So what are other folks gaming out there?  I'm currently gaming an Ahina 70 stiff, although I wouldn't exactly say "gaming" as it's not my starter, but part of the rotation.

Cheers y'all!!

I currently have a whiteboard 73 tipped a bit in a 9.5* set to open.

It was between that, the ahina or the tour ad that gave me good numbers in my fitting.

Yes nice. I went back and forth between going with a WB 73 Stiff and the Ahina 70 stiff.  Went with the Ahina 70 stiff. I still kinda kick myself though. The first fitting was with a Diamana WB 73 x, that was closed with all the weight in the heel. Who does that??

I spent 2 hours today at the range with the RAZR Tour Authentic, 10.5 degree, with the Proj. x 5.5 graphite Black.  I like to draw the ball so after trying different settings and weights I finally settled on the lst setting of closed with 6 gram in the heel and 2 grams in the head.

Worked for a slight draw and a strong mid trajectory.  I'll try it tomorrow for real on the course.

P.S.  I opted for the Black 5.5 Proj X because I play those shaft in my 3 and 5 wood ping i20s.

Razr Fit Tour Authentic 9.5 w/ Fubuki Alpha 60X.  Face is set 2.5 open and the 12 is in the toe with the 2 in the heel.  Amazing combo.

I'm rockin the razr fit 9.5 closed setting with the Ahina 70 x-stiff shaft. Very long, good launch angle and low ball speed. Perfect combination for me.

9.5 w. AD DI 7X, single COG set to neutral, 8 in the toe, 4 in the heel.  Have a YS6+ as well, more penetrating ball flight with the AD DI and much longer, YS6+ is pretty much all carry for me, launches very high and little roll.

I know this is going to sound boring, but I am using the stock Aldila RIP'd and am doing just fine with it . . . for now.  I am looking forward to experimenting and seeing how much more this driver can provide.  Great head!

I have the regular Razr Fit head in 9.5* with an 'Ahina 70x. I have it set in the open position with a 6 gram weight in the heel and 8 in the toe (I purchased the weight kit). I'm loving it so far - very low spin and I can play my baby cut every time with no fear of the pull hook. If it goes left, it is simply a straight pull that winds up just left of the fairway.

Odd. I have the weight in the heel and the clubface open. It was between the ahina or the tour ad, I had played the tour ad for a year and thought Id try something different so I went for the cheaper whiteboard. Its working out alright.

11.5* with a Diamana Blue R flex 3w shaft.  Plays around 43.5".
12g heel, 2* toe, Neutral face.

Fairway finder for sure.
I went to a certified Cally fitter and in aftermarket shafts he only had 46" lengths to try which is way too long and uncomfortable for me.
So he chucked a couple 3w shafts he had in there and I fell in love with the Diamana Blue.  I was hitting it as long if not longer than the stock shaft cut to 44" but had much tighter dispersion because the Senior flex I had in the stock shaft was way too loose.

10.5* Razr Fit Head, Square setting, 8g/toe & 4g/heel, Fubuki tour 63 X-Stiff.

It is ok for now. I was really disappointed Callaway does not offer the Axivcore Tour Black shaft, so the next best shaft for my swing they do offer is the Fubuki. After the first range session last night, I came home and ordered another sleeve and plan to have the Tour Black made up for me. I like the Fubuki, it flies about the same (compared to my Razr Hawk w/ Tour black), but I really miss the feel of the Tour Black. I am still messing with the weights, I definitely prefer 2g less than stock for total additional weight. I will say that the misses are less severe over the RH thanks to the adjustable weights.

10.5 Razr Fit with Miyazaki white 56.  Square set-up with 2 in heel and 12 in toe.  Great set-up for me.  Also have an ilima that I have been trying out but like the Miyazaki better...for now.

How do you like the Fubuki Tour in the FIT?  I had it in the FT9 Tour and loved it. Interesting.

I've got the 9.5 degree with a Diamana Whiteboard 73X.  Playing it at 45" with the face set open.  Still playing around with the weight settings.  I think I might go with 10 in the toe, 2 in the heel.

9.5 with a kai li 70x. I was originally playing with an. Ad di 7x tipped .5 inch. But I don't think I was getting enough spin, no lm numbers, just based on ball flight. Now I get a high launch with a ton of carry and pretty good roll. Thinking of trying the whiteboard or ahina, maybe a diamana plus eventually. I'm playing it open + with 8 in the heel and 2 in the toe.
