I've read a lot of posts in here from people that say they've been playing for 3-5 years, but was wondering how many have been playing for a long time.  I'm just about to hit my 30 year anniversary.

Keep it simple and just respond in this manner:

This is my 30th year playing golf
It only gets better in my opinion and I love it more every year...

I'll be 73 on Thursday, been playing since 13 years old.  However, due to accident I had to take off 9 years, total playing time 51 years.

Turned 34 in March. First start playing at 4 a could knock the piss out of the ball. Lowest my handicap has been was a 4 and could have been a plus but never practiced and never have been properly fitted for a full set.

Just wish my parents would have noticed how good I was and nudged me in the ri direction.

If you count the time I have had clubs in my hand then I meet the criteria.  I'm 32 and have pictures dragging a club around before I could walk.  Started hitting balls around the house at 14 months.  Started going to the course with my dad before I was 2.  Still a few more years to 30 if you count when I "really" started playing at 7.

Started 7/8-ish depending on what one considers "Started".

Had my share of layoffs in between of course.

I'm about as good now as I had been at times before. (No its not one of those funny sayings )

I'm decently on the plus side (HDCP)  but probably a hair bit smarter now.....or so it seems sometimes.
