When we ride, I don't like driving so it seems to work out better that way.

It would be different depending on the type of bag and the number of slots. if you carry, or have a cart bag for a push cart or riding cart, etc.

Also would probably differ for righties vs lefties. It's pretty simple.

(The 1.75L goes in the large pocket.)

Putter and 3-hyrid top right.  Driver and 4-wood top left.

5 and 4 iron middle right, 7 and 6 iron middle left.

PW, 9, 8 bottom right, 54, 58, 64 bottom left.

I have no rhyme or reason to it, really.

My bag has 14 slots, plus a putter tube on the outside. Longer clubs in back,working left to right, short ones in front. Putter is in the 14th slot until the first green, then it goes in the tube for the rest of the round.

You would think so.  I assume the majority is aligning them 1,2,3 because we read from left to right. But over 20% align them 9,7,8, and I am trying to discover why. There must be some kind of reason.

The way the slots are in my bag ;
   Front of bag

Putter in the middle

  3w/2h    Driver in the middle    4h/ alignment stick

9/pw   5/6 in the middle 7/8

  g/s/l in the middle

No rhyme or reason, Just started that way and haven't changed. Works good for a push cart. Not the greatest for a motorized cart.

3-4-5 go together, 6-7 go together, 8-9 go together, wedges go together. Tie each group off with my wife's hair bands so they don't clatter.

I have an Ogio Nexxos hybrid bag (2008?) with the wedge top.

               {putter}
            (3i | Dr | 60)
          (4 | 3w 5w | 54)
         (5 | 6,7 | 8,9 | W)

Woods in the center, irons around the perimeter. Putter in top well.

I arrange them the opposite way of reading (e.g., 9, 8, 7) as this keeps the cavity medallion on my TA5's from getting dinged up.  The taller iron to the right of the cavity can't bang into the cavity, however a shorter iron to the right could bang into the cavity.

I put putter in the middle because it's a bigger slot & I have a super stroke slim on it. After I start a round it goes in the external putter well.
