Here's the scoop...

V4 HB's are stainless and feature a slot that goes through the whole head unlike the past versions where it only went partially on top and bottom. There is a TPU rubber filling the velocity slot.  It's USGA approved (of course) and early indications are the rebound/trampoline effect is huge.

Set break downs are as follows...

They can be ordered iron / HB iron / HB's or irons and HB's.   A multitude of possible combinations with forged irons, HB irons, and hybrids.

Expected to be released in October.

V3 type shape with improved Velocity Slot Tech, could be hot. I liked the V3 and am liking the A12, might be the best of both worlds.

The slot goes all the way through and is also longer from heel to toe which probably helps on miss hits.

Yeah, that's pretty awesome. I know layered faces and such are illegal, but I suppose since the body and face are still fused, it's legal.

Thanks for the pics!

The slot goes all the way through, and then seeems to be filled with a fancy rubber. I am sure the rubber helps the trampoline effect somehow.

Again, semantics I guess. But you cant tell me the slot goes all the way through - only to see its plugged in the middle.

There's no way that's legal. That's not fair for other companies. Adams can't do that.

I'm quite sure the rubber makes the feel better too...I saw this coming when the first slot was released.  Just didn't see it happening so soon...

God Bless

The slot has to be filled or it would probably be ridiculously loud. Think about taking a full swing with a putter that has a sound slot...

The irons look too thick and bulky. Hybrids look good.

uh oh....my V3 hybrid's days are numbered!!!

PS...and i have them in 2H 16*, 3H 19*, 4H 22*, 5H 25*, 6H 29* plus the 33* 7 mid-iron...

..will probably stick with my V3 forged 8-PW,GW,SW, and LW..

and i have the 7-GW in BOTH graphite and steel shafts..

Wow... Full rubber slot? This is very interested, and less exciting that this tech is falling into Taylormade's hands...
I'll be surprised if we see too much innovation coming from the Adams camp first, and not from the TM camp then to Adams.

(full disclosure, i have a trunk full of TM drivers. lol)

Interesting slot evolution. Irons are big momma's but probably work well for those that require them.

Wow, thanks Hip. Tons of tech here. Any more info on the set options?

I think these are a great update on the V3's. The irons look like the beautiful CB3's. For me the V3 set was way too SGI for me, as only 8-LW was "standard" irons. With these I'd go 3,4 hybrid, 5,6 HB and 7+ in the regular irons, if possible.

Oh man!  I can't wait to see what Adams does when the full slot technology makes it's way to the next generation of the Super XTD fairways and hybrids.

The cavity shape on the forged irons actually reminds me heavily of my A4 forged.  Just the way it is shaped reminds me a lot of them.  They do look like they have a little more offset though in the 8 iron.
