Anyone playing a Nike Method Midnight?  I'm not a fan of the old Nike method putter, but hit the Midnight at the store yesterday and was very impressed with the feel and distance control. It beat my normal gamer in a head to head, but would like to hear other's comments before I consider $325 for it.

Thanks,
Tommy

They are retailing at $ 259, for some reason Nike has a higher msrp sticker affixed to them. Nike's "method" of trying to compete with Scotty or the Protype.

I'll check again but I believe the new "Midnight" version is more expensive than the regular Method model. The model that looks like Tiger's was $249....the Midnight model was $325ish

I was using these the other day at my GG.  They had the Midnight for $269 and the original for $179.  I actually prefer the original for $90 cheaper.  The feel seems better to me, the original seemed a little heavier.  The original also has a slightly taller face which I like, I do not like looking down and seeing what looks to be half the ball above the putter.  I also did not like the finish.  I thought it was going to be a consistent dark grey finish but it kinda looks oily or looks like when you have a shiny surface and put your hands all over it the finish looks inconsistent.  Looked kinda cheap to me.

I really went looking at the Midnight and was really considering buying but was I was pleasantly surprised to like the original better and saved myself $90!

The Method 001 is The best putter Nike had ever produced...and I felt that way long before Tiger made the switch.

Also, the msrp sticker does in fact say something rediculous like $329 but the actual price is in the neighborhood of 259-269 for the midnight version. Nike overpriced all the stickers on their clubs, not quite sure why. Even on their website.

I stand corrected, y'all are right. I was looking at Nike's MSRP sticker, they were actually $249.

I agree. This is a very solid putter, feels strong and rolls the ball well.

I´ve played with the Midnight 006 for 5 weeks. Love it :) The roll is incredible. Very nice balance and feel. The finish is not "matt grey", like someone said previously it is not "consistent". I think it looks really good and it´s excellent in the sun (played with it in Portugal) with hardly any glare at all. I like it better than the original Method. The 006 looks very compact. The only negative issue is the black sightline. It looks cool and goes well with the "theme", but white would create a better contrast.

Everyone that tries it loves it. I could´ve sold it 15 times during the first week it was in my bag.

Not a fan of the midnight color, it looks cheap to me.  I'll stick with my Method 001

Played around with a 006 at the shop this morning. Not all that impressed honestly. Maybe it was the lighting, but the finish is kind of strange looking. I could see some possible glare issues with this. The top line is nice and thick though, which I like. Is it just my eyes, or is the face not as deep compared to the 001?

I was never a fan of Nike golf clubs, but these putters may be some of the best putters I have ever used. It rolls so true and the ball never skids with the putter. It is a phenomenal putter.

Anyone have a side by side comparison of the 001 method vs the 006 midnight?

being a fan of the Method 001 I rolled the Midnight version the other day and liked the putter itself but the "Midnight" finish wasn't what I was expecting...i was expecting more of a black finish as opposed to an oily gray finish...I didn't notice any feel difference between it and the regular Method 001, I don't think I will be buying a Method Midnight but it was a solid stick for sure
