My first experience with Discount Dan's (thanks to everyone here), and just wanted to say they are the best. I can't imagine I'll be ordering from anywhere else in the future. Ordered a set (52, 56, and 60) of custom Vokey TVD SM4's. Price was unbelievable, and it only took 5 business days for them to get here (Indiana). I figured it would be 5 business days before they would even ship out.

DD is legit.  I'd recommend them to anyone.

Why don't they show any prices on their website? I have been on websites where you need to add it to cart to see the price.

Their prices are so low that they are under MAP pricing and cant be shown. Call or email for prices and dont post any on here.

Any pics of your wedges? I'm looking to pick up a new 56 and I'm trying to decide if I should get a 256, TVD, or go for a Japan Forged model.

The "cat's out of the bag" and anyone who would care certainly already knows the way they do business.  

These topics are so predictable.  Someone says how great DD's is...someone asks about their prices...someone mentions they have great prices but you need to call to find out...someone else makes a dumb Ping joke...someone comments on price again...someone starts freaking out about "ruining " things for everyone.

If the greatness of something isnt frequently referred to, no matter how predictable, it will gradually lose it's appeal or new business. For me, if I hadn't seen recent posts about DD's, I would have never gone there (I'm new here). Plus, my point was not only with their price, but also with the level of customer service, and the quickness of shipping. I also felt like it was nice to see a positive review about a product/place rather than a rant about how bad something is. If one new person orders from DD's as a result of this, my job is done.

They are fantastic at customer service.  They answer emails within minutes, not days.  Also, I was quoted a price and then sent another message shortly after with a lower price.  The ping thing is water under the bridge..many people invited to the dance..wait or two step with someone else!

Titleist has been building and shipping clubs so fast this year... truly remarkable how fast some of my custom orders have been...

I would be surprised about selling next year though.

My post wasn't directed at you or people in general starting topics telling how great a place is. It was about the direction seemingly every DD's topic takes after its created.  

Every time DD's is mentioned someone feels the need to come in and keep everyone "hush, hush" about the place like every OEM they sell has no clue what's going on there.

Gotta give some praise to Todd at DD.  I lost my AP1 710 Gap wedge and my local club called up Titleist to try to replace it and got no where.  Took a chance and contacted DD, and don't know how but somehow they talked to Titleist and my wedge will be at my house next week.  Couldn't believe it.  They definitely have acquired a customer for life.

DD has great prices, sure... customer service, ehhh.  They always seem like they're in a hurry and if you place an order with custom specs they act like you're taking up too much of their time.  Todd was the guy that helped me and he wasn't much of a "help"... was quite short and unfriendly.  I wasn't beating around the bush, either, I knew my order and my specs.  Ordered a couple wedges and was going to order a set of irons in the near future but might think twice about that, now.

I had the completely opposite experience with Todd.  Could not have been nicer, and was quite patient while I was trying to figure out the specs to order on my club.  To each their own I guess.

always great service.  only once did todd seem anxious to hurry up and get off the phone.  it was pretty much my fault.  being in chicago with the time zone difference, its allready 11 am here when they are just opening.  im pretty sure i didnt even give him time to open before calling......., i can see it now

walks in, turns off alarm, lights are still out and phone rings, hey i need to place an order, damn man, computers arent even on yet, havent had any coffee yet, please call back in 20

Well...because of this thread...I just called DD to initiate a special/custom order for an individual iron.   They did not list that iron set on their website so I honestly didn't expect that they would be able to fulfill the order.   Most other sites that do sell the individual iron said they couldn't do the custom order.

To my surprise...Todd said...no problem...got my specs and will let me know next week when they get the order in with Bridgestone.

Have since received my wedges and spoke with another member of the staff, had a better experience... placed another order for irons.  So far so good... always great prices, must have had a rough day when I called for the wedges.
