Hello all, I am gaming a vintage (1999) set of  Mizuno Comp EZ T-Zoid Pro's.  I feel as if the time is right for an upgrade.  I have read good things about the Mizuno MX200 and MX 300 series irons.  I will most likely not go away from Mizuno at this point, unless someone can make seriously compelling argument for a different forged club.

Info;  18-20 handicap, will probably go no higher than $300
Driver goes about 260+
5 iron goes 180
7 iron goes 150

Thank you in advance

CompEZ are going to be the same blade length as the MX series. I think the MX will look a bit more bulky, but overall it will be more forgiving. JPX is the new line of forge clubs like the AP2, and it has the same blade length, and a bit strong lofted than the CompEZ.

As far as feel, Mizzy is really unique and pure. But if I remember correctly, the CompEZ are not GrainFlowForged, so the new ones should be even softer and muted. For my personal feel, you need to go to a Miura or a Bridgestone to get similar feel. However, Adams CB2 is not a bad choice for a better shaft and price point. You won't suffer much from feel, and it's a damn good club.

Simply from performance, you will benefit from the new multi-material club head, and since feel is subjective, you should be able to pick out a newer set to your liking. I am a Mizzy diehard fan for years, and now I went with practical and newer technology. Look around, I think you would be surprised.

Thank uou all.  Many choices, I probably will make a choice next season.  I am always at least 1 or 2 years behind in my equipment (it is cheaper that way).  I have been stubborn with my irons because they are so good.  I will be searching and researching, let us ee what comes about.

I may actually take a hard look at these CB2's.  I see a lot of positive posts.  What about the ball flight?  I would like something that brings it a little lower that what I get now out of my COMP EZ's.

Stick w/ the mizunos. The MX line is great...i've played the MX25 for years, and haven't found anything yet that's worth making the change for.
