These are my absolute favorite shafts for FW woods. They are made with a super expensive Titanium triax. Unfortunately they are no longer produced.
My first experience was in a Sonartec SS-03 5 wood. I normally didn't think that I could play an X flex but these proved me wrong. They respond very good to tipping, never losing the smooth kick.
These are the smoothest shafts I've ever played. They produce a mid-high trajectory and great shot dispersion. The Kick through impact is like no other that I've ever felt!
I have managed to put together quite a collection of these and would never even think about giving one up
Nicklaus once said "The best Fairway wood shaft ever made" and I couldn't agree more!
If you ever get to try one you might spend many days and nights looking to find more. I know that I have

Hopefully I can get my hands on a couple more. It is an awesome shaft and unfortunately, the current shareholders have a tight grip on them Andy
Accuflex VS02 looks similar in specs - wonder if this would be a suitable replacement? My club maker offers Accuflex, so maybe it will be worth a try. I currently use a Stealth 80 stiff but don't like the overall feel of it - feels like the whole thing flexes but no kick in any one place along the shaft - if that makes sense.

I haven't hit the VS02 but I haven't found a shaft as good as the 857 Pro-Ti in a fairway wood
I've only felt two shafts that play this smooth and neither is quite as smooth as 857 Pro-Ti and both are heavier.
First is Fujikura TRTI-46. It feels like a slightly stiffer and heavier 857. 96g and 3.0 torque with a higher bend point.
The other is the old G. Loomis Tour. 120g, 2.0° torque, high bend, but it has that nice, soft action. Perfect for fairways if you want the steel weight.
All three shafts are nearly impossible to get, but all three have a slow load that a smooth tempo swinger will love.
I've got to agree - the absolute best FW shaft I've ever hit. Nothing at all like the Accuflex VS02, imo - hard to compare it to anything except to say it's like a heavier, much more stable 757. I picked one up which was long enough at 42.5 to work in my heavy Blade x400 driver - not too awe-inspiring there, but in a Hogan 3w it's just come alive. Mine's an untipped (I think) S which is just a little stout for my 105ish swing, but the distance is outstanding.
I have one in my TP 5Wood. My friend gave me the shaft for free. I didn't realize this thing had such a following. That 5Wood is superlong and accurate with a flight that impresses me every time. I played with a guy a few weeks ago and outdrove his driver with it. He was like, "let me see that club?". Having that combo available on par 5 approaches and shorter par 4 tee shots is a nice addition to the bag.
