I tweaked some things on my swing. I slowed the swing , shortened the back-swing, and lowered the ball about 1/4 of an inch on the tee. How does it look?

if you really want to have a good look at it try v1 home program, its free and allows you to slow it right down and also draw lines and stuff. I just compare my swing to another swing that i am trying to emulate and look at the differences that need to be changed. Also slowing it down really helps in the way that you will notice things that are really obvious but you didnt know that you did.  also check out this link, it tells you how to analyse your swing.

Hey,

I try to respond to all of these the most constructive way that I can... so I will give you the good and the not so good.

Good:  Tempo, hip position at impact.

Not so good: Club is laid off at the top and you are seriously, seriously overswinging.  About halfway through your backswing, the club looks ok, although a little laid off .. but manageable; however then you go another 45 degrees past that position to disaster zone.

FIX:  A drill I would try to shorten your swing some:  keep your left heel on the ground for the time being.  That should bring the club closer to parallel.

GOOD LUCK!

It would be beneficial for anybody analysing your swing to know what did the ball do, before and after the change. Otherwise this would just be miss universum of golf swing competition, and in that your swing is not the prettiest.

Is golf about having a pretty swing? The balls goes straight. If you could tell me what I need to improve I could try it out.

Instigator? Telling people they swing like a girl and to come look at your wonderful swing and I'm the one starting crappy huh?
You are not Bubba doode... Most people CAN do your cool move, particularly if they come off the left foot like fatty john daily.
Anyway I'm just saying if u want help don't act like you know it all, post that swing, and call others weak/ slow/ inferior etc.
Add another video head on.. it will make it easier for people to see all that's going on.

Aswell as Iron swings.
If you love your swing and don't want to fix anything, whyd you post it here?
I see bad posture= too close to the ball = steeptake away.. obviously over turning and lifting the left foot probably impacting spine angle, club is across the line, pretty good transition you keep good lag (the best part of your swing imo), club is outside the line but you get it to the ball well w good lower body action.

It you set up better, you probably wouldn't squat as much on the downswing. A head on video can show what the head is doing better.

Like I pointed out you aren't Bubba.. he doesn't come on golfwrx looking for advice either.. the thing is advice and teaching you are going to get more "text book" advice, not the unorthodox Jim furyik type moves.

Looking at your other swing I think the term is double crossing at the top... Probably do to the length of back swing, note Bubba doesn't do that at the top. Your head movement kills yourr spine angle. I'm working on a similar fault right now

Ok I'm looking for tips, I'm not overhauling my swing and I know I'm not bubba lol. I like your explanations on how to fix my swing. I think that should help me out some.  I was posting my video because I hit the fairways with my driver 8 out of ten times on a good day. I'm a bit wild I know this, but I can't resist my swing, I think it's just ingrained in my head.  I need to cut my backswing, but it will take some practice.  Thanks

It looks exactly the same. I thought you said your swing speed was 110 originally? Now you say you dialed it down from 120-100. You may swing slower but the swing looks exactly the same.

Your posture is very upright, there is very little angle between the club shaft and your arms at address, you lift your left heel during the transition which appears to be for no reason other than just to do it (or it's your down swing trigger), you have early extension and a loss in posture even though your posture is very upright at address, an OTT move, no spine tilt at address, and an early/ mid release.

Don't understand why everyone tried to be argumentative on this forum. I bet if I said I had a SS of 80 and said 90 it wouldn't be a big deal. I went to Golfsmith for a swing analysis, it said a range from 110-120. So If I don't say exactly the correct numbers someone jumps right on you. So from now on, I'm done with numbers. Someone tell me I can't swing 110, and then dial it up to 120, tell me I can't drive 300, tell me I have a bad swing, tell me I suck, tell me I'm ripping on people, and tell me I suck. I come on here to get some good advice because I feel I could always improve. I definitely could do without all the stuff that comes along with posting a video. I'll never post anything on here again that's for sure. So all you perfect golf swing critics don't start getting on me about my yardage or SS. I don't even need a driver in my bag, Hybrid 3 iron can get it done on any course. I don't need the advice that bad if this is what comes in return, I do just fine my own way.

Wow.. over react much? If you let go of the ego trip you'll see he didn't even say it looked like you were full of be about the numbers, just that the swing looks the same as the first. Don't be such a tough guy man, look at the info we posted about your swing. Look at rory tiger Bubba any other guy w similar swing speed and start w the address. You stand tall impacting ball position and club angle. Then work your way up. If you are bombing it AND super accurate then rock that swing to the pga. My guess is when the timing isn't there your tee shots can be unpredictable.

No head on or iron shots?
Despite how you think we are attacking you, you've actually gotten pretty good analysis of the flaws of your swing. That's what you wanted right?

Yes pretty good advice, but just seems people jump on you for putting numbers out there. Maybe I should just leave the SS and yardage out? Thought it would just help people get a better analysis.  I know 300 yds is thrown around too loosely, seems everyone is hitting 300 with a SS of 120. If I fixed my timing and had a more fluent swing I'd sacrifice the yardage all day.  I'm perfectly fine with 250, so it's not my ego. I'll get some more videos of iron shots too if that would help, but I'm very solid with my iron game.

New Angle. New Swing. I know I have a long way to go still. I kept my left foot down, shortened my back swing, and loosened up my arms. How does it look?

Nice swing, left arm seems pretty stiff at address, let your arms hang loose a little bit.  I too am having trouble keeping my backswing short.

Correct, if you can pull it off... Ideally your hip would turn, your shoulders would turn more than your hips and get behind the ball.  If you want a great example of this, look at sam snead face on.

Here is my iron shot head on, I hope you can still analyze the swing without using a real ball, but here it is. What are your thoughts?

Hip sway instead of turn again, also I now see a big cupping of the hands at impact.
