I just bought a odyssey white ice #6 putter, based on the old ping zing head...fabulous putter, nice finish, good feel, etc.  right next to it was a cameron version...man, it was so cheap looking, it looked like a putter you get with one of those complete sets for 99 dollars...Usually when he steals someone elses' design, he will upgrade part of it but this looked like junk...and yet, the price was 3 times what I paid for mine. (not to mention his extreme head cover pricing).

You think a white ice putter looks less like a box set putter than a Laguna?

Odyseey's half plastic half glue thing compared to a milled steel block with translucent paint fills?

Thats like saying a Honda Civic is "cooler" looking than a Lambo?

Why have champagne and caviar when you can eat cake?

Taste is just as subjective... I know plenty of people who'd jump on that cake!  I'd be pounding that caviar like a kid in a candy store!

Anyone like to comment on where the POS brass scotty was made, could have been a far east sweat shop exploiting child labour for all I know

What I do know is if you can get 1.5 M yen and take your 10% be happy but, don't be down on anyone who has some reality left in their bones.

Just my two pennies worth though.

T

BTW Matt how are those twins doing, long time buddy

I guess the moral of the story is go to Japan to sell, not to buy. Sounds like a bunch of custy's waiting to get taken for a ride.

$15,900 for a putter? Scotty must have been on acid to come up with that price, hehe
Even if I could afford such nice toys, not sure I would pay the price. Not sure even a collector could recoup his money. But they are nice eye candy.

how legit are they? prices are ridiculous but putting that aside.. some of their info is off on the site... calling a newport tei3 with a flange line a newport 2... calling 5 degrees standard for a scotty when standard for a scotty is 4 degrees... im new and never heard of them

Hello JC123,

We have over a 20 year relationship with Scotty Cameron and the reason for the prices as mentioned before is they are not controlled by us but by Scotty Cameron and Titleist. They have strict pricing policies for authorized retailers which we are a few or the only one that is allowed to sell TOUR ONLY putters. We have 2 Golf Shop locations in San Diego and Mountain View California and we have been selling golf equipment online since 2004.

If you would like to link me the errors on our website I'll make sure they get fixed.

If you do some research on GOLFWRX and the other popular golf forums ( which we proudly sponsor ) you'll see tons of our happy customers.

Thanks,

Ryan

That sounds like price fixing to me by Cameron and Titleist.

Seriously, there's nothing better than reading a thread filled with Scotty fans and detractors. Don't think there's another brand in golf that's people talking more than Camerons.
