I was able to meet up with Tadd Fujikawa today. As you can guess, he's been extremely busy since finishing yesterdays Sony Open. Everyone and anyone you can think of wants a piece of him. But like he's always been, very humble and appreciative of all the attention. When I first saw him I told him, "Gee, we were just watching you on tv!". My friend said, "Yeah....for the fiftieth time on the Golf Channel!". All he could say was "Really???" and let out a big laugh. He's been so busy, I don't think he's had time to sit and watch tv! When I told Tadd and his Mom that everyone's been asking about his clubs and wanting to see pics, they were amazed and very happy to hear that people were happy with him and his performance. Tadd was kind enough to go back to his Mom's car..yes he can't drive yet...and bring in his bag for pictures to share with the GolfWRX community.

So here you go guys...from Tadd to you.......his WITB! :drinks:

Driver....Callaway FT-5 8.5* with Ozik Code 6
3 Wood...Callaway X Hot 15* bent to 13* with Ozik Code 6
Hyrbrid....G Field GFT-UW 19* w/ Dynamic Gold
4 to PW...Callaway X Tours w/Project X shafts. -1/2"
52* Callaway X Wedge....stamped Tadd and WF 06/ For Winged Foot 2006.....obtained when he played the US Open
56* Callaway X Wedge
60* Sonartec Wedge with custom grind by Carlton Masui
Putter...Cameron Welded Neck Centershaft

Like any good GolfWRX fan....Tadd said nothing is set. The Driver and 3 wood may be on their way out as they only went in at the Sony. Tadd wasn't too pleased with the Ozik's and there is a strong possibility the ON OFF Driver with Axiv V and G Field 3 wood with Mamiya Jumbo would probably be back in the bag when he hits the links next month here in Hawaii. ;)

Awesome job Pitbull. Well done mate. Great pics... :ok:

I know you can't tell just from the TV , but he seems like a geniunely nice kid. Just wondering how he would go with having his name on his golf bag. Thought there was a rule about this regarding Amateur status. I'm sure there were plenty of people at the tourney who know the rules back to front so I assume it's all fine.

Again - great job/pics. Thanks.:ok:

Reid, way to keep the continued coverage from Hawaii, you missed your true calling, you should have been a journalist or a reporter, absolutely great stuff my friend, Thanks for all the effort.

Tadd should start getting some serious offers from the club companies, and he should.

Thanks for the pics Pitbull, but you forgot the most important question. I was dying to know what his lie angle is on his irons, given the fact that he is only 5'1". Are his irons regular length? I am thinking they have to be at least 4-6* flat. Assuming a height of 5.1 and a wrist to floor of around 29".

From what i read The USGA states if you BUY your bag and put your ame on it you are not breaking any rule!

Awesome pics! If you see him again...tell him great job from the mainland.

And as far as his name on the bag...if he buys it he can put his name on it. The only problem is...the US OPEN & the 25th Anniversary bags...at the time he was playing them at the events were only available to "contracted" staff players. You or I could not walk into a Golfsmith or Discount Dan's and pick one up off the merchandise floor. So if he was given one, he could not put his name on it. If he bought it he can, but I can't see how he bought one, and still be within the rules.

I hope there is another loophole around this...but I can't find one. Here's to TADD anyway.

Amateur status isn't what it used to be...I don't think after that performance he'll wait too long to turn pro. He's energetic and has a great smile with a decent game, he'll have no problem getting a contract.

That is quite the sick grind on the Sonartec. Love the Cameron putter. I'm a little surprised he doesn't have the new X-Tours. And the Code 6 in the driver and 3 wood is an interesting choice as well. And those shaft choices are freaking boards!!! Does anybody know his SS? He must be pumping it out there.

Great pictures Reid.
