I like wearing a visor instead of a hat, since it's cooler (less hot) than a hat. My wife and daughter (13) think it looks feminine.
I don't see what the problem is.  You guys think a visor is feminine? By the way, my visor is an all white odyssey logo.

Well, you can go ahead and tell your wife and daughter that thrillhouse said that they don't know fashion. Because visors are awesome.

IMO, visors aren't fashion. They can be a style but they are still a tool. I don't wear a hat or visor as a statement. I wear them to block the sun and block some eye sight while putting.

Never thought visors were feminine....I just don't wear them because my hair is buzzed short.  And when I have worn them, I end up with a slight sunburn on my head.

Some of those hats I've seen the pros wearing look hot (temperature wise, of course) and I could never wear anything like those...especially living here in Hawaii.  Climacool hats are pretty cool (also temperature wise) and just picked up a Taylormade trucker mesh hat...

I wear both.  It really depends on the outfit I am wearing (only have 1 black visor).  I think they are fine and I do wear mine during the summer a good bit to help keep my head cooler.

Buy one that says "I like boobs" or something and see if they think it still looks feminine.

visors and their cool factor really depend on a lot of factors... by themself they are stupid... however, the right visor, on the right person, with the right style and they almost can't be beat.  Visors can be GQ

That's all I wear!! When the temp dips down into the 40's is when the hat comes out and low 40's I sport my FJ ear warmers.

I think some dudes look better in visors than others of course but I don't think they are automatically feminine. Like an earlier poster, I clipper my hair pretty close (Just expediting the inevitable really) and would look totally stupid with both the visor on and my essentially bald dome sticking out, and with the visor off after a round as I would have some pretty ridiculous looking tan lines.
And actually I somewhat recently had a skin cancer scare and it does run in my family so I am thinking of going to the Bucket of all things. Maybe I will go with the Shengo cowboy!

It all depends on what hair style you do have, (the opinion taken by many), and the sun, I do wear a visor, but that is because my hair is slightly longer, if I buzzed the hair it wouldn't look good with a visor.
The guys on tour who look GOOD with a visor all have decently long hair: (Mickleson, Bubba, Snendtdecker)
Whereas the guys who dont look great have short hair: (Poulter, Donald)

(I admit Snedtdecker does look goofy, but its not the visors fault)

I try to go real old school (pre sponsor whoring) and wear no visor or hat.  Nowadays you can barely recognize a player off the coure when they aren't wearing a billboard on their head.  Love the wind in my hair just have to wear my sunscreen.

Visors are definitely not feminine, not sure where your wife came up with that idea. I am a visor wearer but not always. I never wear a ball cap, they look good on some people, I am not one of those so my only real alternative is a visor. I keep may hair longer than many people but not excessively. :blind:

I think you're on the right track. Not every hat visor, shirt, shorts etc. looks good on every person.

Visors look good on some guys, not so good on others. For example, bald head, skip the visor.

And I agree, the Bubba or Phil visor, cool. The Luke Donald visor, femenine.

I don't know what the Luke visor looks like (is it the small logo part above the bill), but I bought a PING Bubba visor and love it. I really wanted a hat that had the G20, i20 and Anser graphics, but at the time his model visor was the only thing non-tour that had those logos. Looking back, I'm really glad that I bought it because my big head/face is now completely covered by the enlarged bill.
