I'm thinking of getting these. When I went to try them on, the toe area was really tight in the 11, my normal Nike size. 11.5 too big everywhere else. Will the toe area stretch out once the synthetic conforms to my feet?

With one shoe with yellow laces and the other with green laces , those will look pretty cool.  Wish that grey parts was yellow instead and swoosh was green.

I've seen multiple people complain about the high tongue on this thread and others. Has anyone tried modifying the tongue, making top 1/2" shorter?

It may just be me, but I don't notice the high tongue at all. I tend to think it appears higher in pictures than when being worn.

I agrees. Never even noticed anythings abouts the tongue. It barely is above the top of the laces for me. Below was picture i took befores for somethings and if i cut tongue off some , it would be below the laces.

If you plan on cutting the tongue make sure it's not going to allow other parts to rub you raw. Another TW13 owner and I think the tongue is designed like that to provide a guard against a specific part on each side of the shoe from rubbing the skin off your feet on top.

I wear short socks too and if it weren't for tongue's design the inside area (sort of where the laces last loop through) would rub like crazy while walking. The "wings" on the tongue guard against that.  A normal tongue would lead to both sides getting hammered and blisters forming on top of my foot where my ankle bends.

I typically wear size 11 in Nike, but I couldn't find size 11.5 to try on in the TWs. I just went with 11, but they are too small. The tops of my toes (my toe knuckles?) are rubbing against the the material and it just doesn't seem comfortable. I don't want to wear them out on the course to see if they stretch out because it looks like I will have to resell my size 11 pair.
