[3 putt Charlie]

I have a Ping i20 driver with the Ping 707 shaft in X flex.  I am considering changing the shaft, but I don't really know enough about the 707 to have a good starting reference.  Ping claims the 707 in low spin, low launch and the torque is 3.6.  Has anyone hit other shafts in an i20 that you can compare to the 707?

Would a Kai'li 70X increase or decrease the launch angle?

I read somewhere that the 707d stiff is most similar to the UST VTS Silver SX flex.  (so perhaps the 707d X is similar to the ust vts silver XX if there is such a thing?)

From my experience with the ping i20 707d vs the razr fit kai'li with a  60x the kai'li will launch higher and spin a tad more.  (not sure of the head effect on that comparison tho - probably a lot)

I hit a Ping i20 with a stiff 707 and a Fit with a kai'li 70X side by side on an outdoor launch monitor at a demo day and got a lower launch and lower spin out of the stock i20 (both were 8.5* loft).  I tried all the low spin shafts that the Callaway guy had and only a Whiteboard 73 gave me lower spin than the Ping.  The Ping guy didn't want to change shafts for some reason so I really have no way to compare the 707.

Sounds like your experience was similar to mine.  Razr fit and Kaili, stock shaft, TA project x (thats all i tried) they all spun more than the 707d i20).  I have only hit the i20 with stock shafts and I hated the project x and loved the 707...
