There was nothing of value added by the trolling/attacking post. But, if you were to prohibit these useless posts, many here would have nothing to contribute.

Hell, my first post didn't address the OPs questions, as it was more of a 'me too' post, but at least I wasn't attacking the OP. :)

To the OP: If money is a concern, I would look at trying out the old(er) Rapture woods and hybrids. Very good clubs, just not a current offering, and should be available at reasonable prices.

Picked up a Rapture V2 yesterday actually. Can't wait to go smash it on the course.

I am also 'climbing on the i20' wagon, but from a different direction: I demo'd the i20 driver, liked it so much I put it in the bag. Then I went back and took my trusty 3wood with me and it got shot down by a i20 3wood. Wasn't even a close contest. Not any longer, but much more accurate for me.

Then, I started thinking "hey, these PING guys might be on to something" so I went back and tried a 17 deg hybrid. I have had horrible luck up until now with hybrids, but this thing was so easy to hit, it punched my 5wood out of the bag.

Now I'm trying to make up my mind...S56s or i20s? One of them will likely be in the bag by the end of June.  :)

Get the s56. You won't regret it.  I went to the s56 from the i3+ blades. Trust me, the s56 is more forgiving than the i3.

Congrats on the V2! Hope you hit it well!

About the 56s: I am leaning that way, as recently I had a set of 57s that I really liked, but the C-Tapers in S flex were getting a bit too much for me. I've been told the 56s are easier to hit than the 57s or even the i3 Blades. I did seem to hit them very well at the demo day, with a high baby draw on most shots. Hell, seems I'm talking myself right into them...  :)

I bag i20 irons, G20 driver and fairway but I did not like any of the Ping hybrids enough to kick my Bafflers out of the bag.

I have a simillar bag set up but I have the Ping i20 hybrids.  I have cycled through so many hybrids but finally found these.  The Ping i20 hybrids are some of the best hybrids I have hit.  What I disliked about most hybrids was the sky high launch.  The i20 are more of a boring trajectory.

I will say this.. I started building clubs along time ago and I love the snake eyes clubs. I built my irons and wedges and I love them. The ping brand is what I am going to next.. Minus the putter as I was custom fit using SAMs lab and I'll never ditch my Scotty.
Ping makes amazing equip and it is a nice feeling when all your equip is good stuff.. The bag and headcovers all match and you look and feel like your ready to play golf. I dont think anyone needs a one brand bag but if it works why not

I still wish snake eyes made better woods lol

I am not a brand ho, most of  the time.  The reason why I prefer Ping is because they make gretf equipment.  A lot of research and developmemt goes into making Pings.  Plus, I live in Phoenix, AZ, where Ping is assembled.  I like the idea of keeping my money local and helping the community.

If you dont want to buy new look at the g10 series. The driver and woods(especially 4 wood) are classic. Even though I currently carry a 3 wood im a huge proponent of the 4 wood instead. Its just so much easier to hit off the deck. I have not tried the g10 hybs so I cant suggest or not suggest those although they look a little funny to me at address. If you dont mind the look you should give the g10 series a try.

nothing wrong with buying what you want. I would buy what I want and looks good to me. not for others. we play the game pretending as we are pros just like we pretend to make that game winning home run, touchown or basketball. if we can play like them minds well dress and carry the same equipment.

I'm currently going to an all Ping bag. I recently got an advanced iron fitting at a pro golf shop in Mineola, NY (not sure if I can say the shops name but it was rated in the top 100 in Golf Digest). Needless to say after about an hour of trying different heads and shaft combinations, the fitter suggested the Ping i20's. So I'm currently waiting for my i20's.  I then got the chance to try the hybrids and woods and thats all it took. So my new setup will be

I20 10.5 w/ PX 5.5
I20 3w 15* w/ PX 5.5
I20 3,4 hyb
I20 irons 5-Pw
Tour S 50*, 54*
Anser Milled putter

Did I have to go all Ping? No, but I absolutely love the looks of the i20's and I'm hitting them very well. The only non Ping item is the bag itself, love my Nike Performance cart bag. If you have the right amount of patience and a little bit of luck, you don't have to break the bank. You can practically steal these clubs on the Bay, I know I did! Lol.

+1

Has to be up there, if not the best hybrid Ping has ever produced IMO.

Correction!  Just recieved word this morning that Ping has discontinued the Tour S 50* wedge that I ordered. Looks like I'll have to try the i20 U wedge.

New Tour Wedge with Gorge grooves shipping this week. btw.

I pretty much have all Ping bag and have for a few years now
although the mix has changed.

I've tried other clubs during this time but just keep coming
back to Ping.  Comfort zone I guess.

I think there is some degree of consistency within each
mfr. They have their own tech and preferred materials
and processes.

I think there are many on here who prefer a certain mfr.
for their own reasons.  Others are happy having a mixed
bag. In the end we all do what we want.

An all Ping bag? And the problem would be what exactly?

They make fantastic stuff in every catagory. I've never been 100% Ping but close to it. My first Ping clubs were Eye 2 irons and I played them for around 23 years. Still got em. I've got an old Anser putter too. Probably older than the Eye 2's.

Bought the V1 Rapture stuff when it came out. Driver, 3 wood and 5-U wedge. Recently gave them to my youngest son who plays 5 or 6 times a year and he loves them.

Got 4-U wedge i20's and a 20* i20 hybrid and I could not be happier. Not really that much better (for me) than the Raptures. I like them so far.

The Fast 12 LS kicked the Rapture out and I've had Vokey wedges for quite awhile after they kicked out the 588's

Ping is great but so are most of the others as well.

Update: Ended up going with the i20s. Scored a partial set, 4-PW, that someone bought, played 9 holes, and listed them on ebay.

I was more than happy to take them off his hands, for a discount of course.  :D

I then added a 3 iron that Ping was happy to build to the same specs and even put the same serial # as the originals.

Noticed more of a gap than I like between my PW (46*) and my gap (52*) so ordered a i20 gap (50*) to match the rest of the set. Loved it so much I got a SW and LW, also matching the specs of the rest of the set.

Only thing I have changed from the original build specs was to replace the CFS stiffs with KBS Tour stiffs. Like these much better!  :)

To the haters: I play either a SC or Betti putter, so my bag is not completely Ping. Never had a (almost) one-brand bag until now, but so what? It works for me.

Glad to hear it. I came from S56s and I still have my old
S58s. I have i20 4-LW. I'm giving them plenty of time. I
have to admit though that I am using an Odyssey putter.
I've had several Ping putters. Putt better with the Odyssey.

If you are looking at hybrids, you should check out the Adams Pro hybrids.  They are sweet.

FWIW, I'm in the process of going almost all Ping. Just took delivery of an i20 driver and my i20s (4-U) should be delivered next week.

I also bought a Ping Anser Milled and a Ping Redwood Piper and am currently deciding which I'll keep. I'm actually leaning toward the Redwood.

And to holster these clubs, I just picked up a Ping Latitude bag.

Eventually, I will add an i20 3W and 20* hybrid. I want to get a few rounds in with the rest first and considering I would uses these clubs maybe 3 times a round total, it's a low priority with the $400 combined price tag.

The only clubs that won't be Ping are my wedges. I picked up 54* and 58* Callaway Forged wedges instead. I thought about the Ansers, but they are so soft and I play in sandy conditions.

This may sound hokey to some, but I've had "fun" replacing my bag with all Ping products (I have never owned a Ping club, BTW). After all, the primary reason we play is for fun. The awesomeness of the i20 line has allowed me to do this as well. I wouldn't have considered the same line-up throughout the bag unless the clubs were basically top performers in every category.

The Anser milled is nice but the Redwood Piper is sweet.
