I just heard a maroon color crown with compression channels on top and bottom of fairway woods. Don't know about driver or red shaft though.

I'm not sure a red headed club will be a top seller for Nike IMHO.  That could be an appetite for disaster...

I think this would make more people not look at any of Nike's products.  Nike makes outstanding golf products, but making a driver/club "red/maroon" to make it the next "white" is just horrible marketing/design.  Stick to making great products and expand on the technology, not what color or type of paint is on the club.  If it really is red or maroon, I will not even try it.

That's what I was thinking too.

Wilson made a maroon driver head also. It's actually not a bad color. As long as it's not Fire Engine Red, it might not be so bad.

Remember when everyone said .. "A white driver .. Who is going to buy that?".

Yeah I remember the R7 CGB.  Interesting club.  Once at a golf show, I almost bought a 3w.  It was sitting there un used, stiff flex, $100.  I thought about it.  I really did.

My idiot friend has a red driver, that is some type of long drive head.  It is weird though, it is 11* w/ a 65g regular flex grafalloy pro launch blue I think.  I teed of with it and it went just stupidly high.  Perhaps it was that Krank head?  I didn't check and I don't plan on playing with him any time soon so we may never know.

But I don't think maroon would be that bad.  I'd certainly give it a smack.  Nike really do make some of the best products out there, they don't get enough credit.  I have a VR Pro Ltd. Edition 3w and it is a monster, also use a method on and off and owned an SQ2, as well as a VR Pro Str8-fit Tour and a Nike SQ Sumo2 5900.  All were/are very good clubs.

It will be so lightweight and sooo red that golfers with high swing speeds will create a red Nike "Swoosh" after-image a fraction of a second after their swing.
