Where are all the people questioning his character and taste in women?
If his Rory's parents choose to make themselves a part of the story, that becomes fair game, doesn't it?
You don't think people had to go digging to learn about Earl Woods, do you? He made himself into a big part of the story. Rory's parents are comfortably at home minding their own business unless they are interviewed to talk about their boy....apples to oranges again.

I'm relaxed buddy - no big deal - but there are people who spout and believe that tripe....that there is a giant conspirace against TW and his family by racists and the media...
I interpreted your j/k to relate to the kittens part - which I ignored. But I assumed some degree of seriousness about the parentage thing ...again - I'm relaxed - not a problem. But I just want to make sure that in a rush to create some sort of equality for TW we treat them truly equal....not treating them the exact same. The difference being to understand all the context and history and treat a 23 year old star with a clean record the same way a 23 year old TW was treated when he had a clean record....and treat Mr. and Mrs. McIlroy the same as we would have treated Mr. Woods had he not been so involved in day to day management of TW's image/character.
The point that people are attempting to make here is that a double standard does exist. The only reason this is even a story is that he's the #1 player and a name. Period. If a no-name had done it, this wouldn't even be a growing thread. Personally, I don't care that he threw a club. It shows emotion and that he gives a crap about what he's doing. Just like when TW does it. But when you get the personal attacks that he gets and the pass that people want to give young Rory, no matter the age, but position in the game, that's when people get excited.
