I'm gaming mp58s right now and love them. But from memory the i3+ blades take the cake... Built my game on those... Loved those sticks... Still wish I had them.

Toss up between my 2 sets currently.  Callaway prototypes or MB2's.  The best irons I have ever played is kind of a dumb question imo...wouldnt you be playing them currently if they were the best ever?

I play the X Protos too and have been contemplating the MB2's. How do they compare?

My vote goes Callaway X-Protos, 681 T, and the old DCI 981's.

#1 Ping Eye 2 + classic iron that could be played today
#2 MP 33s my favorite blades ever, still have my original set
#3 Ram FX Pro Set. The first "combo" set of irons I came across. The short irons were deadly accurate.

S56, don't look as good as my 68's did, but the way they perform is amazing.

Titleist 670 and my current TaylorMade TP B's. I'll play the B's until I wear the grooves out. Awesome question by the way.

Nothing has knocked my MP-53's out yet.  Maybe the Mp-59's someday, but the 53's are soft as butter.

Quick question - what are the best irons you have ever played?

Mine are the Nike VR Split Cavs from 2008 or 2009 Not sure when they came out - I would die for a New set along with some new VR Forged wedges.

Someone should summarize/tally this!  Who's the man to step up?

For me, its the JPX-800's I currently have.  Once I got the right the shaft in them, they did wonders for my game.  Long, forgiving and predictable.  I can't ask for anything else in an iron set.

I'm kind of with you. Just switched to the 800 pros ... same forged feeling, same workability, and a bit more forgiveness ... but before my current set, I'd have to same MP32s, or Hogan APXs ...
