Quick question - what are the best irons you have ever played?

Mine are the Nike VR Split Cavs from 2008 or 2009 Not sure when they came out - I would die for a New set along with some new VR Forged wedges.

I've got to say the 59s are pretty damn good....they get my vote
I also liked the vr split cavs (and vr blades!) sold both and regret it.

Adams Pro MBs are exceptional too, in my opinion...

For me, its the JPX-800's I currently have.  Once I got the right the shaft in them, they did wonders for my game.  Long, forgiving and predictable.  I can't ask for anything else in an iron set.

+1
In Europe macgregor gave me some pcb Miura. Similar to that iron. Too cheap to buy shafts that I can get around now for them.

Some old founders club tour blades I picked up off a guy leaving the mini tour circuit. Got 1 through LW for about 100 bucks and they were insanely awesome. I traded them for an almost new set of MP-33s that I wanted for several years. I hated those irons when I finally got them.

although the "pure" irons only start with the forged 8-iron and up to GW,SW, and LW my adams V3 forged irons with true temper performance tech 75g steel shafts are the best irons i have had so far...

.... prior to that my tourstage Z101s were the best feeling ones i had and after 54 years in the game i have had a lot of irons..

Growing up, I really liked Faldo so I always wanted the best Mizuno had to offer.  I finally got them and never could hit them well.  I played Apex blades that I could drum, Founder Club blades that were amazing and two sets of Titleist blades that I loved.  But the MP-33s, I could just never get a feel for them.
