I'm having a great time looking at everyone's handicap and then looking at their swings...some of these people must having PGA tour level short games cause some of these people's swings are average at best and we're supposed to believe they're a 2 handicap or whatever they say. I call BS. I bet some of these people spend more time in the sand than David Hasselhoff.

a couple of people have mentioned the swings don't match the handicaps. I wonder if those posters actually even play golf. It's easy to watch the tour and then think that because someone doesn't swing like Adam Scott they must suck. Have you swing gurus ever played in a state/provincial am? Have you played in your country clubs A flight championship? There are a lot of low single digits with imperfect swings, there's a 70+ yr old at my club who's a scratch, there's another guy i play with who's a legit scratch whose tempo is so fast he's like the tasmanian devil. I have another friend who's a 2.5 index who uses a triple overlap grip and hits nothing but 5 yard draws all day, he can't hit a fade unless he hosels it.

I remember when a guy here who was a genuine 1-2 handicap posted his swing, and got asked if he was a 20 even though his contact was almost perfect and he had great tempo

I didn't check all the swings but i 100% believe the 4-5 low cap ones i checked out.

^^^ i know this will make me sound old (and i'm not, i'm 30) but i feel like these days there is way too much emphasis on "the perfect swing", even from instructors. It's like if you don't stay perfectly on plane and your spine isn't tilted ideally you're lucky you make contact with the ball. I know they are trying to sell their medium but cmon....

every swing vid that gets posted on this site gets crushed. No wonder a GIVEAWAY thread is hurting for volunteers. Jim Furyk could put on a fake mustache and post a swing vid and some idiot would say "no way you're better then a 10 buddy! I call BS!"

What a great post. I also have noticed that none of the people trolling this thread have posted their own swings for comparison.

I don't think my swing is perfect but as a 5 handicap I end up getting strokes from guys who look like they couldn't hit a basketball on a tee, and a lot of them comment on how nice my swing looks while they count my money. It isn't so much how it looks guys.

This is what I hate about this world, you can't criticize someone without being yelled at, "Well I don't see you(doing whatever you're criticizing)...etc..." What I can't say someone has a average swing without posting my own swing. Makes no sense. If I'm a 10 handicap I can't say someone with a 2 handicap has a crappy swing without seeing mine!? I just don't get it.

what don't you get? You took a shot at basically every low handicap on the first page of this thread and essentially accused them of lying. I looked at a few of the swings and honestly have no idea what you're talking about. If you don't think some of those guys can actually be low caps, then i honestly don't believe you've been around many true low cap ams.

and i'm not yelling.

Its because for some reason people think that scratch golfers have to swing like tour players. If they swung like tour players you know what they probably wouldnt be? scratch golfers! They would be much better! No offense to anyone but it just isn't as hard to be scratch as a lot of people think. Look at the plus 3's on the first page, they are all obviously good players who are 20 years old and playing golf every single day! No wonder they are good players!
