No doubt everyone has a favourite brand of club and I honestly don't believe there is a great deal of difference in the majority of them. Oh sure they do a massive sell job every year with their " new lines " which apart from a little change in cosmetics are practically the same club as the year before ( higher priced of course ).
I am going to put two new hybrids in my bag within the next couple of weeks, I'm looking for a # 3 with 19 degree loft and a # 4 with 22 degree loft. I have new irons this year ( Ping G 20's ) and I have looked at the Ping hybrids,,,I was going to bite the bullet and buy them, $ 189.00 Can. each at my local Golf Town.
I mentioned to one of the pros. at my practice facility I was going to buy the Pings' but he showed me something very interesting on " e-bay " a set of Tour-Edge Exotics XCG 4 hybrids a 3 and a 4 with the loft I wanted but he said not only was the price difference huge but the Tour Edge hybrids had the Fujikura Motore shaft which, in his opinion is one of the best shafts in golf, far superior to the Ping stock graphite shaft.
These Tour Edge hybrids are brand new by the way and no question they are genuine, they would be purchased from a highly rated golf outlet in California.
Anyone with an opinion on the Tour Edge hybrids I'd love to hear what you have to say about them ,,, Thanks.

TEE hybrids and FW woods will get alot of good feedback. the face is really hot and some guys see some distance gains. alot of the guys on golfwrx are lower handicappers, but I will warn you that ive seen alot of higher handicappers have trouble with some TEE products. if you are fighting a slice with the long irons or fairway woods, its something to thing about. the g20 hybrids have alot more offset and they may both have neutral faces, but im thinking maybe the g20 is slightly more closed. maybe others can chime in there. now of course if you are fighting more of a hook and want to take the left side out instead of the right, TEE could probably be had cheaper and will probably be longer.

Go with ping. I have i15 and love them. There isn't much of a downside with Ping. Also if you don't love them they hold their value better.

The Ping stock shafts are pretty damn good.  I'd say better than most other stocks, IMO.  I play the 707 in i20 and live them.

The one club that gets no attention or love, but if you look for reviews they come out praising them, is the Nike VR Pro hybrid.  It doesn't look so shut like other hybrids, and FOR ME, the combination with the Project X 6.5 is perfect.  Out of the 14 clubs in my bag, it would absolutely be last on my list to swap something out.  I just don't hit bad shots with it, and it's so versatile that I can play it anywhere from 210-235 yds by simply choking down on it.  I never have been and probably never will be a fan of Nike golf, but when I was on my quest for a hybrid a while back, I read about them all and hit them all and this is the best hybrid I've ever played.

The Pings are more user friendly in my opinion - just point and shoot easy and plenty of distance.  The i15's with the upgraded stock shaft Proforce Tour Red fit me like a glove!

Thanks for your reply, I read it with interest, I recently put a 3 wood in my bag, Tour Edge Exotic with the Fujikura Exotic shaft, I've been playing for over forty years and this is by far the nicest fairway wood I have ever had in the bag.
I play off a nine handicap and my miss is left especially with the longer clubs, a 3 and 4 TEE hybrid set, new, including shipping will cost me $ 224.99. To purchase two Ping hybrids locally will cost me $ 449.99, no question whatsoever Ping has top quality equipment and I really love my G20 irons.
The concensus is that Tour Edge make a very high quality product, combined with a top of the line Fujikura shaft and a top line grip I really can't justify buying Ping's equipment at double the price. I also did some research and contacted the Ping rep. in my area ( who I have golfed with a few times ) he did tell me that Ping hybrids are constructed with a slightly closed face. The Tour Edge hybrids are set up with the face neutral so in reality  I would be a bit of a fool to buy the Ping's over the Tour Edge.

For my swing, xcg4 wood hits the ball higher than other FWs and I love it, but xcg3 hybrid I had hit the ball lower than other hybrids. Both clubs were the most neutral, not draw biased.

Just my experience.

I have owned PING and TEE hybrids and they are both of great quality and both play very well...in my opinion not much difference and either should make your game better.  however, seeing you play G20 irons maybe PING is the way to go but I would make my decision based on when I set the club down at address do I feel immediately like I can hit it...and hit it well!

Note:  The Fujikura shaft in the TEE is made for TEE...it is not the original shaft.  Not sure of what makes it different excatly but thought you should know that.

Not much for hybrids. See you play G20 irons. I've hit the G20 Hybrids with the Ping stock shaft. As OP said they are great feeling and good distance. I'm sticking to irons but... FWIW.

I am a mid handicap and have no problem hitting the XCG5 4 wood, probably because it has a 42g Tour AD shaft - light and has a low flex point that gives it a nice , easy high launch.  Its one of the easiest to hit fairway woods I have hit.

TEE Hybrids, on the other hand,  have the Blur shaft which is 75g.  I found them extremely hard to hit, they have a tendency to have a low trajectory and I couldn't get the higher launch I need/want in a hybrid.  My impression of the TEE hybrids is that they are made for an aggressive swinger, someone who generates allot of club head speed.  I can hit R flex in just about any shaft, but that shaft is hard to hit well for me, and its very heavy.

I carry Ping G20 hybrids, only after extensive "testing" and demo'ing of all the various hybrids.  Using a G20 hybrid was the farthest thing from my mind, as I had written it off as an ugly club......then I hit it.  I fould the Ping G20 to be very easy to to hit, way forgiving, high launch, extremely good feel at impact, awesome out of the rough, and longer than any Hybrid I have hit.  So, I wouldn't automatically write off the Ping G20 hybrid.

That said, I just found out that TEE is going to allow a Graphite Design Tour AD 60g shaft as an option at no upcharge to their XCG5 hybrid. That's music to my ears.  I wanted to own the XCG5 hybrids but as I stated above they were too heavy and too stiff.  I will want to try one of these becasue even though I have Ping G20's in my bag, I have issues hooking the Ping G20 and have to make some swing changes when I hit them becasue they always seem to want to go left.  When I make those swing changes, I can really hit the ball well with them.

The TEE hybrids are probably the best looking hybrids at address of all the club makers out there.  Its a smaller size head (not real tiny - just perfect) and it seems that it sits about 1 degree open.  I can't wait to hit the 60g Tour ASD shaft in that club.  I will report back with the results.

If you are a slicer, or fader of the ball, I wouldn't think the TEE would be ideal for you.  The Ping G20 seems more draw biased and would probably be better for you.  Just my $.02.  .
