Just curious to find out what the softest golf ball to play with is and if it is better or worse to play soft?

Softest I've ever hit was the Taylormade Burner Tour, like hitting a marshmallow, I didn't like it at all.

I hear right now the Wilson Duo is very soft...some others:

wilson Zip
Nike PD Soft
Maxli Noodle Easy Distance
Titleist solo
Bridgestone Fix

well, its subjective, i  am a feel player, and like a soft ball, they ONLY drawback, is if its too soft, putting can be tricky, cuz you are not feeling the ball and cant judge distance to hole, make sense?

Wilson Duo is the lowest compression ball on the market. As far as spin, there is no definitive answer as to which ball spins the most as it will vary from person to person. Generally the softer the cover, the more it will spin off irons/wedges. The ProV1 has always been among the highest spinning balls.

The softest I've played:

Wilson Zip
Noodle+ Easy Distance

Most spin into green:

Nike One Platinum (one of the older versions)
ProV1
B330S

i think one of the softest is the USkids balls. my wife bought a few for our grandkids and she tried a couple, really soft, i had to buy a few more for the kids. they make the IQ balls feel like rocks lol. The only problem i find is the real low spin level, my wife plays the the older ProV1 392's, we have dozens of those and they bite real well, we got her a Vokey spinmill wedge with a custom  light weight steel shaft. Anyone know the specs on the ProV1 392's?

what do you think the compression on the older nike one platinum is and compared to the older ProV1 392's?

I still have a sleeve of the Hex Reds, those were a good ball years ago and popular because of the dimple design, was great wind ball, and spun pretty good. They were the start of the callaways being good wind balls. if i remember they were quite popular on the senior tour.
