Looking for some new irons and I really like the feel of mizunos. My main question is what is the difference between mx 23 and mx 200? I would love to get JPX 800's but being in highschool with no job its not really an option right now! Also, if there are any other Mizuno GI irons I should take a look at just tell me, thanks.

See if you can find some Bridgestone pocket cavities j36 pc, j38 dpc are also very good with similar feel and can be found cheap as well.

Don't base it on what is newest.  MX-23's were Mizuno's best selling irons ever, and are incredible irons even today.  They are forged and forgiving, and can be had for under $200 for a set usually.  After the MX-23's came the MX-25's, then the MX-200's in the Game Improvement category.  The MX-300's will be harder to hit than those other irons.

MX-100 are cast, leaning towards SGI so they're very forgiving

MX-200 and 300 are both forged with a pocket cavity, the 200 is a slightly more forgiving club than 300

MX-23 and 25 are just older versions of the 200, they're all pretty much the same thing IMO

The JPX800-PRO are the newer MX-300.

*Conclusion: If you like the JPX800 (non pro) then the MX-23/25/200 will all be good, just get the one you like the price and look of most

i would say the mx 300 are def the hardest to hit... where as the mx 1000 and the mx 25 and 23s are probably the easiest... mx 1000 and the 300s are the last of the mx series before jpx starts... i am personally in love with the mx 1000s .... i was just about to get them last week until i ordered a custom set of amps...

If you want the best of both worlds in an iron, get the MX200s. They are easy to hit and forged. I wish I never sold mime.

Yes.

Apart from JPX800 (incl HD) and MX-100 everything is forged. I likened the 23/25/200 to the 800 because they are similar in terms of size and forgiveness, I feel that the 800 Pro are a bit smaller...

Easiest to Hardest to hit.

MX1000 -> MX-200  -> MX-300

I wouldnt waste my time with the MX1000 unless you are a beginner.

I guess from reading this thread and all the varying reviews... The moral of the story is that mizuno makes some kick a** irons. Find which one you can for a good deal and I'm pretty sure you will be a happy person..

Played 200s and 300s.  300s are newer & slightly less forgiving, but honestly they're both forgiving.

The 23's are great clubs, esp for the price.

I also prefer them because they don't have any decal/stickers on them, and they only have the number etched in the sole and no mizuno runbird logo. If you find posts with members who have removed the decals from the cavity of their 200/300, they look almost exactly like 23's.

Just curious, but why is everyone saying the mx300 is harder to hit?  Are the 200's that easy or what? (I have the 300s and am in love).

find the right MX for you under 300 beans and don't look again until you have a sub 16 handicap.  Then get a better putter.  Mizuno user forever.  good luck, these are best
