Would love a comparison if anyone has tested both.

I'm actually comparing both these past few days.  I'm torn between the 2.  I LOVE the sound the DOT head makes vs. the R11s V2.  The R11s V2 has A LOT less spin for sure.  Both seem to go far, but I have to give the edge to the R11s, but not by much.  So far, I think the DOT sets up better for me, the sound is better, but hitting both on the nuts, I have to give the edge to the R11s V2.  So I'm torn...  I like both the drivers, but I still can't decide which stays in the bag!  I put a pic for a comparison of size...

Essentially the same head.  From what I am being told the R11s is a touch longer, it also offers more adjustability in the Asp plate. The V2 is 20cc bigger. The R11s v2 is louder probably because its a touch larger.

Anyone have any more comparisons to add to this? Since both have been out for a while now.How forgiving is the dot head?

My son loves the dot. He plays d1 college golf and has hit both with identical and different setups and will only play he dot head. Different shaped head gives a completely different look. I have hit both and like the v2. But it seems that if you love the dot head, nothing else will replace it.

I have played both and both are great heads.  Like Will said, pretty much the same head in my opinion as well.  DOT is a touch smaller which for me sets up better.  LOVE the sound of the DOT, just a muted bomber.

Has anyone hit the Supertri V2? Wondering if the R11 DOT or R11s V2 is more comparable... If at all.

I tested both on a launch monitor, the r11s v2 was about 1900 rpm of side spin vs 2750ish on the r11 dot... I was told the face was thinner as well on the r11s v2 by minute amounts but helped as far as distance and may give the louder sound to it... I dont know if that is completley true.. will peoples may know if the faces are different for sure...
I opted for the r11s v2 the reduction in side spin was insane... same shaft in each when tested, not same type but same shaft...

I hit both and for some reason the R11s doesn't launch on me.  And it spins marginally lower than the dot.  Seems like I can't get it spin more than 2100 RPM on trackman.  And for some reason, my R11s is fade-biased.  The dot head, I replaced the AST plates with the turbo sole plate (a blue plate I purchased from someone on eBay) which gives some extra weight.  It weighs about12 grams compare to 5 grams of the original plate.  Believe it or not, it works.  It actually allow me to launch better and it feels and sounds very different too, which I love.

I would really love to play the R11s, but I have not found the right set up thus far.  Maybe a little hotmelt or some super high-launching shaft?  Any suggestions?  What a shaft are you guys hitting on the R11s?

I just tossed a V2 in the bag to test and it isn't coming out.

I easily gained 10-15 yards over my DOT head.  Hit 80% of fairways as well.

Love the V2, DOT may be up for sale lol

Do we believe that the R1 "tour" head will be released at the same time as well?  Starting price point typically around $700?

Oh I'm sure they will release a Tour head, but with the new Hosel and my 6 high end r9/r11 shaft needed to be replace they won't get my business UNLESS the r1 is SUPERDEEP faced.  That will be the only gimick that will lure my money....the R11S V2 is just flat out too good.  I'm honestly stunned, but I'm glad my buddy couldn't hit it and he owed me :golfer:   Best $300 I ever spent!!!

so what if you throw the R11s v3 head into the discussion?  How does it compare to the v2 or dot head?

I can't comment on the R11 DOT however I've got the R11s V2.

I've got the R11s V2 with the Oban Devotion 6. OMG is all I can say.. This thing is an absolute bomber and when it lands, it just rolls. It's going to take a lot for this to come out of my bag.
