BIG watch nut here. I have always worn one while playing and it's never bothered me one bit. And I typically play with my Panerai...and that is HUGE. But again, it does not effect me one bit.
All the ho's wear the new TM "SuperQuartz" watch which is of course only available in black for now. It features MWT which stands for "Matching Watch Time" according to the TM Rep I spoke with.
Like the Driver it was named for the SuperQuartz also features eMOI which was not specifically defined by the TM Rep I spoke with, but it most likely means every Month Old Inventory.
i play with my watch on...i CANT play without it...and it has to be a heavier watch too. gaming watch Swatch Irony Stainless steel chrono...everyday watch, Explorer 2, or Bell&Ross military...non chrono, AP Annual Calender...
I'm a bit of a watch ho and collector
even when i played competitive tennis i had to wear my watch...tossing the ball with my left hand with the watch on always felt more control...i know thats weird...makes me weird
I've done a few practice swings with my watch on before and nearly broke my wrist (not really but that's how it felt). I hate having anything bulky on during golf. No watches, no jewellery, even annoying when I have more then one tee in either of my front pockets (It's better in the back pocket).
And for those who need to know the time - look at the shadows from the sun lol
I personally like as little on my hands and wrists as possible. No watches or ID bands.
A buddy of mine just got married last summer and he wears his wedding band while he plays. All my other buddies won't wear their rings because it messes with their grips.
I'm only 25, so hopefully I don't have to worry about the wedding ring problem anytime soon!
I can't wear a watch when I play, but do have a Sabona bracelet on my right wrist whenever I play, for some reason that never bothered me, but the watch does.

RIDE
Panerai definitely the way to go if you're wearing a JL style get-up... a bit more classic then I like the JLC Reverso Grand Taille (face turned around in honour of those polo playing colonials it was designed for ) when in a more classic rig, GMT Master II or Seamaster for Nike/Adidas gear and IWC (Portuguese Perpetual II - way to big to play in) for the club house - especially for the more upmarket places.
nautica titanium chrono, being a club ho, it's beta and lightweight so doesn't
bug me. burst a few leather straps on impact on old watchs so titanium bracelet is the only thing that handles the huge forces of my 130mph swing

RIDE
Hey, Ride! I knew you were a PAM freak, but didn't know you were a golf freak, too! Small world--or, Internet, rather, huh?
I, too, am a huge watch fan (and a fan of huge watches, I guess), but I don't wear one on the course. To me, it'd be like playing with your wallet or keys in your pants. I mean, why bother? Why have something on you that keeps you from being as free/quick-moving as possible? If you need to know the time while you're out there, then I say keep your phone/watch in the cart/your golf bag. I wear a watch 100% of the time otherwise -- just not while I'm playing golf.
And Ride, you're nuts for wearing a PAM on the course! You're probably pushing/slicing everything since you can't get your left arm to come around quickly enough. LOL
I will not wear anything on my wrists whilst playing golf. It doesn't feel 'right' to me and it distracts me when I'm concentrating on my grip/setup etc.
This is my golf watch. It stayed in my golf bag most of the time and I only wear it when playing golf.
It's very light, I hardly feels its weight. Besides it is automatic movement. I don't need to worry about battery.
Don't wear any jewelry when playing. I have broken 4 or 5 watch bands and I have never felt comfortable wearing rings when performing any type of physical activity.
didn't ......until I found the right watch--TAG Tiger Woods professional golf edition with silastic band and stem on left )to avoid pinching wrist when worn on left wrist). Remember, always play with your watch on or off--as Frank Thomas pointed out on the golf channel website, the watch on your wrist actually acts like a butt end weight and changes the performance/swingweight characteristics of your left arm-shaft "system" .
