It's funny how Callaway did this to keep TM from getting publicity, & it's posted on here getting more attention than it ever would have as a white club in Garth's bagPosted Image

Even funnier is how a few people speculating on what may have happened comes to be treated as "fact".

It would be so weird to play a driver that had a black head.

I get that some of you are against the white look on the TMAG drivers, but a lot of you need to at least hit the club before you're quick to judge.  I actually find the white easier to see at address and also helps me correct my out to in swing causing the dreaded slice.  I've managed to fix the slice and I actually hit a draw more often now.   But I do agree with a lot of you that it should at least be AVAILABLE in the flat black rather than the flat white.   That photoshop picture looks really nice as well as the actual finish that SHIVAN had done to his, I think that's another great look.   Personally I like the white though.

As mentioned by another member, to each is own.

To me it almost has a copper hue. I am thinking R11 burner bubble classic.

That is funny because it has that purple hue you get with a black sharpie if you look at the difference in color from the top to bottom. I seriously think someone sharpied this thing! LOL

I was thinking the exact same thing!

I actually got used to the white, I only have an R11 3-wood but I am used to it now. Lately though, I was looking down at it and thinking "I really miss the traditional black of my 3-wood, oh well *smack*"

I'm not a fan of the white, I like the clubs but I had to paint my r11 3 wood. Now it's perfect haha.

I'd bet my bottom dollar TMaG aren't changing from white in the near future.  They OWN white.  Its their signature.  Instantly recognizable. Any colors what follow will be as a direct result of what they did.  Maybe I'm a fan boy, but I love the white against the green grass, science or no science.  It sets up well and I hit it longer than anything else around, so regardless of color, it works.

I understand people not liking the white but why is eliminating it so important to so many of you? Can't you just let other people enjoy it? You guys are so weird.

Did the "murdered out" r11s thread get deleted? If so I don't understand why anyone would have a problem with someone customizing a club they paid for

But Taylor Made isn't going anywhere. Their driver that I'm playing is the best I've found. It just happens to be white.

Yeah I saw a lot of RBZ woods hidden under other companies headcovers at the masters this year. In fact, I was lucky enough to be front and center on the tee box for the second playoff hole on sunday and Louis Oosthuizen was using a burner or RBZ utility or wood, but it had a ping headcover.

Couples has been gaming different TaylorMade drivers with Bridgestone headcovers for years....

Played golf yesterday with a couple of friends and two of them don't golf much at all. I pulled out my 910H and my "non-golf" friend says "that's a shiny club". Never got that comment with my R11 or RBZ 3W.

People can hate all day long on the "white", but you're missing out if you're going to be that ignorant to automatically dismiss something that looks so great at address. Later!

This player is a Callaway staffer and also in his contract plays a taylormade driver. He gets contract money for 11 Callaway clubs and taylormade driver as well.

I told them I was not worried at all about the bottom white, or the decals on top, and they had to leave the serial # open -- it was sweet.

They could have removed the decals on the top for me too, or whatever.  Notice how they did the "T" alignment mark.

Man they are good!

Is that Continental that did that for you? I don't know if I want to go without my driver and woods for two weeks but I would definitely do that in the off season.

I love how long the R11s and RBZ and how forgiving and how this versus that. The reason I do not game them is the white is obnoxious and distracting to me. Until TMag offers another crown option I'll be sticking with the 910 series perhaps even the 913 as the rumor is it will be out in September!

Not as a shot at anybody, but I believe if people didn't go into trying a white club focused on the color and how distracting it was few people would actually find it distracting.

i agree with you.  When i first tried it out, i was against it.  I was worried that it would draw too much attention but as soon as I took a few practice swings I could easily see my swing path.  I have always had an out to in swing from years of baseball, but rather than correct my swing path I was always trying different things to correct the slice without facing the obvious problem.  When I started swinging the r11 I could see that path clear as day and I was able to start fixing my swing path by just following the white glow in my swings.   Once you look beyond the color and focus on the swing it becomes natural and you wont look back.  I took a couple practice swings last week with my old R7 superquad and the black finish seemed unworldly now that I am used to seeing the white so often.
