We are traveling to Myrtle Beach in April and will be staying at the Legends resort... We are playing all 3 Legends course but must choose 2 of following 3:

TPC of Myrtle Beach

Heritage

Oyster Bay

Any feedback on these, which 2 would you recommend? Thanks

Oyster Bay heard tons of postive things about it. Legends ( Moorland) bunch of guys are going next month to play there. TPC of Myrtle Beach is course on list to play when I go in the summer.

Sorry this doesn't help you at all!!!

From where you are staying, Oyster Bay is the hardest to get to as it is in North Carolina. Oyster Bay used to be one of the premier tracks at the beach. TPC MB is highly rated and pretty close by the Resorts. I like Heritage but only played it once years ago. Was originally owned and built by the Oyster Bay people. I would vote for TPC and Heritage.
Moorland- I will curious to see what you think of it.

I'd definitely go with Oyster Bay, we played it once and it's really good. Not too sure about the other 2.

I thought Oyster Bay is only like 30-45 minute drive away from Myrtle Beach??? Would suck to have a 8 or 9 tee time though.

I've stayed at Legends 3 times at MB and played all the courses 'on site'.

Of the courses you've mentioned, I've only played Oyster Bay, which is a solid 1/2 hour drive or so from Legends. I really enjoyed the course. It's older for MB, but I really liked it.

I've never played Heritage. I hear everything from "Overpriced" to "Excellent" for the TPC.

Another alternative near Legends is Myrtle Beach National - King's North. That was a lot of fun.

Thanks guys.... In the package we can choose either Oyster, Heritage or TPC along with the Legends courses...we dont mind the drive since we ususally play around noon time... and it seems that Oyster and Heritage are very similar. TPC is included so we will most likely book a round there.

I would also recommend Heritage and Oyster Bay based upon many past visits. Have never played TPC though. You will have fun no matter which ones you choose.

If you have the chance to head south, Kiawah is less than an hour away from Myrtle Beach. There are also some great courses in the Charleston area.

Oyster Bay and Heritage, both are outstanding, though I hate the service at Heritage. They always try and rush you off the range so you can wait in line in the cart for your tee time....HIGHLY ANNOYING.

Was not impressed by TPC at all.

Every trip we play Oyster Bay and Tigers Eye, they are on everybody's favorite list.

Have not played the TPC, but have played both Oyster Bay and the Heritage Club. I don't think you can go wrong with the either of the two courses, as they were both nice layouts in good condition. The group that I go to Myrtle with each year still talks about Oyster Bay.

Enjoy, have stayed at the Legends in the past and am sure you will enjoy the trip.

I agree i thought it was just our group they really try to hurry you along to get off the tee. Played both courses this past April, Oyster Bay and Heritage are both fine tracks.
