So, I just bought a brand new 17 XTD hybrid and went straight to the range. Hit a buckets and love this thing, 250 off the deck , which is longer than my 5 wood. I can't hit a fade, just straight or draw. Then I took the sticker off and found this. I know it's just cosmetic and I know in mfg, there are defects that always get through, no matter ow thorough the mistake-proofing or inspection. However, why the $^&% would you put the sticker on and then the finish?

That looks like crap but if your stripping a 4 wood dead straight or slight draw 250 Id disregard it and stock it in the bag.  With that said I'd contact Adams I'm sure they will replace it.

LOL.

I just hope I can hit my 14.5 250.  I'm glad you hit yours well though.  As sadi earlier they should fix that for you.  Give them a call and see.

Wow. My Pro Black looks like crap after using it for a while, that's just not even right. Seriously, what genius decided it would be a good idea to put the sticker on first?

Turn your lemon into lemonade, tape off the edges of the face and use even strokes with a really light grit sandpaper to take the finish all the way down. Then you'll have a custom XTD bomber.

Seriously though, every head and shaft play just a little different. You could get a new one but there's no guarantee it'll play exactly the way this one does.

Not the best advertising for Adams there, Quality control is important to ho's too.

What is Adams' deal?  There is a thread on here about a guy who bought one online and when it was shipped they had spelled TECH, TEOH.  They also Mialigned the shaft

This made me laugh. I will not be surprised if it happens to someone here. I guess in their rush to meet demands, the quality control has slipped a tad. Maybe we could patent a club with a Velocity Slut in it just for WRXers?

Adam's quality control is shocking. It is a big reason I refuse to buy anything Adams.... that and the fact that the hold their resale value like a Kia

The club is in high demand so Adams and the manufacturing plants are cranking them out as fast as they can.  Sometimes things just get missed when you're in a hurry or under pressure.

I would have to agree since there are three people now who have had issues with theirs already.  That stinks because Adams really does make some good sticks!

I could only wish to hit a hybrid 250 off the deck.  I would have to tee up my driver and even then I would need a good shot.

You ever have one of those moments where something is so bad, you skip anger and go right into disbelief and laughter.  This is downright ridiculous.  Adams definitely owes you a new club and I would think a partial discount or refund at the very least.  I personally haven't had an issue with Adams, but mistakes are bound to happen.  Whatever route you choose, good luck to you.

I understand that but no way you put a sticker on and them paint/finish. There is a process order that should be defined even in the smallest mom and pop shop.

I believe those are the new velocity alignment aids.  If you want to hit a fade, line the ball up with the outer splotch.  Draw with the inner splotch.

Am I missing somethong here?  Mine looked the same way when I took the sticker off mine.  It is just adhesive and silver from the sticker.  Mine came right off.  Try cleaning it.
