Had a warranty claim with TaylorMade, and after the hassle, I now have a Kai'li 80X cut to 3 wood length but I haven't carried a 3 wood in some time.  Currently playing a 909 F2 18.5*,  but I got a free shaft, so I'm going to need a 3 wood.  I'm ready for a change of pace.

Now the question, do I look for an R11 for cheap off eBay or this site?  Go get the R11s?  Or the RBZ tour?  I have the shaft with nothing to compare to (until I go put it into a demo of course), so what do you guys think will give the best result?  Is it even worth the money for a new year model, I like shiny new things, but performance matters too!

I'm not limited to TaylorMade, but I do have the RBZ driver in the bag so that is in the equation.  Hope I can gain a few opinions of the numbers and results people are seeing playing the Kai'li 80X in some fairways.

Was it tipped?  Butt trimmed?  What length?

I'd stick it in an RBZ Tour 3 wood if possible.

edit: I called Taylormade this morning (for my own project) to find out the raw shaft length is in a RBZ Tour 3 wood and the guy said 42.5"

I have the Kai'li 80X in my SFTP 2.0 15* and LOVE it...it will stay there for now..unless I move it to my RBZ 3 wood in the near future..great shaft, mid launch with mid/low spin for me...ROCKETS!! oh, wait..that is the other three wood!?!?!? :cheesy:

Either way..great shaft..myself and a few others have found it to be great in the SFTP 2.0's and in the RBZ TOUR heads.

Good Luck.:drinks:

I tried the r11 and r11s. I didn't like how much heavier the heads felt. I haven't had the chance to hit the RBZ with an x shaft so I am sticking with my r9 for now. Performs just as well as my old v-steel.

Kai Li 80 is a winner in a 3 wood so smooth just like the bb 83.
