No need to yell sunshine...I actually think they are the same faces just different lighting and angles. HIs pic and yours have the same mark in the middle of the face and on the leading edge.

Agreed, I tried to take the pictures in neutral lighting with my iPhone4 and he took them in very harsh lighting that makes them look much worse than they are.  Oh well.

Look at the pictures, it's the same damn faces on those clubs. Different angles and different lighting.

Also- Why not post the other pictures inbetween your photo session of the club faces? You've got like 10 photos inbetween them all, I assume you were trying to go for the worst lighting and angle possible to really try and drive your message home? Just like someone can take a picture and make them look REALLY good, you went the opposite with it.

You can be mad about not getting them when you expected, but the condition is as represented, and they are the same clubs and faces. And you paid $80 shipped for 2 wedges that have TONS of life left in them. Get over yourself.

its quite obvious

actually, the clubs have the same blemishes on both pictures (seller's pics vs. your pics).   however, the angle the seller used didn't show them as blatant as your angle.

you should have first attempted to make ammends with the seller that you weren't happy with the condition rather than file a dispute with paypal

Please also don't get hung up on the pictures, this began as a claim filed on a non-shipped item, then changed when he got the item into not as described.

Hey sorry for the slow reply, I've been all over the place the last couple of days. I had my roommate send the clubs out and I believe he got them out Thursday vis USPS Priority. He will be back in town tomorrow afternoon so I will check with him to see if he got tracking information (I know its extra on Priority so I'm not sure if he did).

I have the USPS Priority receipt that I will email to you so you can see that it has been shipped but there is no tracking info on it (as you can only get Priority Confirmation where I'm at).

The clubs got shipped on Thursday, which means sorted and put on a truck by Friday, so they have been in actual transit for less than 2 business days. Please settle the dispute via Paypal as I can prove the clubs were shipped. I have never had someone freak out because it has been LESS THAN A WEEK and they haven't received a shipment and after I said there is no tracking info available via USPS Priority.

I'm assuming you're pretty new at all this so it shouldn't be a surprise, but for future reference please be more tactful than just jumping on the dispute button and giving someone an hour on a Sunday morning to answer you question before disputing (and after I said there is no tracking information available).

The picture of the receipt with the shipment going to Sterling Heights MI is my proof that it has been shipped. What else do you need to prove shipment has taken place??

Trust me I don't have weekly shipments I send up there? You're just being absurd and have unrealstic expectations for when something shipped on a Thursday should get to you. I #1 can't guarantee when something will get delivered which is beyond you at this point. I won't argue as you're obvously entrenched in your idea that it hasnt' shipped. You'll just realize you're wrong when it shows up today or tomorrow.

Once again, thanks for the massive pain that you've created, I'm sure this is probably pretty standard for you.

So you promised them on the 17th, then promised them on the 18th then said you thought they went out on the 19th but weren't sure.

I'd have kept the clubs and not filed a chargeback but man, you definitely did not hold up your promises at all. Not surprised someone with a short fuse might pop off at you for that one.

actually, no.   the point is made clear - the buyer was completely unrealistic with expectations on when he thought he should receive the clubs and too quick on the "dispute" trigger.   prolly even sealed his own fate here on BST

you, OTOH, should have been more clear with your shipping time expectations knowing clear when he needed the clubs.   you should have seen the failure to meet that deadline ahead of time.   you could have done more to dampen the blow earlier on.

There is no place in there quoted saying "I will have them shipped on xx date." I said I would try, which is the best offer I can make, and then when I did get them shipped.  

His argument about the condition is moot, as they are the same faces.  Its like when you hit that wedge shot into the sun and think man my wedge has a bunch of marks on it, thats how he took the picture.  Not an accurate representation.

with these comments and behavior,  i would not want to deal with you as a buyer either.   personally, i have come to this site looking for clubs and you are a glowing example of everything wrong with ebay type of transactions.  there appears to be a long standing good faith amongst members here and you are ruining it... for everybody

How much time past between payment and shipping?

Please read earlier, he paid on Monday and I shipped as early as I could on Thrusday.  I have to take my lunch breaks at work to drive to the nearest post office to ship so I don't ship every day but usually every couple of days.  I said I'd TRY to get them out by the middle of the week, but wasn't able, had to actually have my roommate ship them out Thrusday AM due to craziness at work, and I told him on Thursday they got shipped.

I see your side jkrew, but opening a claim is seriously a last resort.  The seller had a delayed ship (which sucks for you), but you totally jumped the gun by opening a claim so quickly.  I think you would have been completely in the right to be upset in the first place, but filing a claim so quickly turns the tables and makes you look problematic.

J-Tizzle - Use more concrete language when selling, as in "I will ship them tommorow if possible this week has been crazy at work and it is more likely that I won't be able to ship them until later in the week" no point in sugar coating for BST it just leads to arguments like this.

JKrew - You had the clubs within a week, although this is short of the tournement you needed them for it is still better than any online store can do. If it was that urgent your guest should have rented clubs or bought a set at a B&M store. And although the pictures are not perfect those clubs are as described in the post. You got a pretty good deal, and if i hadent just purchased wedges i would have jumped all over those

basically if Jkrew had said i need them for this weekend or no deal, or if J-Tizzle had been more conservative with his claims this would not be an issue.

But regaurdless this issue occurs on every type classiffieds forum on the internet- be clear in what you need as a buyer and dont try to sweeten the deal with "hopefully's", and "i'll try's" as a seller.

I'm not going to argue anymore, I think its agreed, I should have tried to ship them out earlier, however, that that doesn't warrant a Paypal dispute when you get them a week later (probably pretty close to the hour in which you paid).  Its obvious you wanted the clubs for the weekend and when you didn't get them you probably bought something else and now have no need for two sets of wedges.  AND, like others have said above, they are the same clubs just differnt lighting.

So please mark this guy as a favorite, I'm sure this makes everyone want to buy/sell with you.

I've been a member on eBay for over 12 years (I think) with 300+ feedback (one negative that was a situation very much like this), and have been a productive and active member on WRX for almost 7 years.  Mature members of both boards have had no complaints dealing with me and will NOT have any problems going into the future.

I do agree, but with my work I cannot make promises when I'll be able to ship as I'll get stuff thrown on my desk at 8:15 and it has to go out that day (or days like today when I've had little/nothing on my desk).  It just sucks that with his item, it was 2 straight days like that.  

And for what its worth, working in banking, I know you dont' give concrete answers unless you're 100% you can follow through on them.

It would appear to me that the top face pic you posted is the BOTTOM face in the OP's picture.  The difference is his was taken without a flash and your used a flash.  A flash always accentuates flaws in the subject. But the nicks in your top face are  visible on the face of the bottom club in his.  IMO

J-Tizzle, i am pretty new here (to actually posting) and don't want to challenge your longevity and or respect on the site but i would suggest a better camera and or angle when selling used gear.   there was a comment earlier in the thread stating that sellers should downplay their club's appearance to surprise the buyer - i totally agree with that suggestion.
