Played 18 holes yesterday and noticed during the round that my watch had stopped.  It was the first time I've worn this watch (a Citizen eco-drive) during a round and my first thought is that the shock from making contact with the ball may have something to do with it.  The watch is only a couple of months old.

Anyway, its still under warranty so I am taking it to the jeweler I bought it from tomorrow to have them check it out.  Anyone else ever have this problem?

Nope. Never wear a watch while playing. My time, my reward, no clock, no phone.

I have an Eco drive, they have occasional stoppage issues, more likely your wrist hit a button funny during a swing or when your hands were going in and out of your pocket. Citizen fixed mine for free when it turned out to be a more permanent issue. Good luck.

No...but how is this for a theory??? I was playing with a guy a few years ago and was wearing a watch at the time........He told me it was a terrible idea because all new watches are battery operated and (According to him) the battery gives off electronic pulses and those get into your veins and travel through your body which throws off your swing...makes perfect sense to me....almost!!!

Watch sales are down because most people use their sell phone.  I never wear a watch when I play.  I would rather strap and iPad to my back.  Fortunately, I do not have any iGadgets.
