FOR ME, it is the best shaft I have ever played.  Lightweight, responsive and accurate with a great ball flight.  I chose it after doing my research and buying it as my shaft choice in my new ping i20 driver.  since then, I have won 3 out of 4 long drive contests in my monday league at Blue Mash GC with stupid long drives, 2 of them 350+.

Now, before I get flamed for inflating my distances (as if i have something to gain by that), I have to say that there was a 30-35 mph tailwind on those 2 weeks, the fairways were very firm, and those 2 holes play slightly downhill.  under "normal" conditions, i still hit this driver/shaft combo farther and straighter than anything i've ever hit.

i went with the projectX black because it is supposed to hit the ball higher, but stepped up my stiffness and reduced loft to counteract.  seems to be the best combination, as i can hit it low, medium or high if i choose (and execute).

avg. swing speed (as measured by trackman): 98.5
driver: ping i20, 9.5* loft
shaft: projectX black 6.0

It's pretty nice, I hit a 7.0 in an i20 at the PGA Show and then got to see the flight a few weeks later at a demo day. It still launches a touch high for me compared to my Devotion, but I have a feeling it might've been the club head because the spin numbers were great. The feel is better than normal PX graphite in my opinion.

I love this shaft.  One of the main reason's I say this is I can hit any type of trajectory I want.  High/Low, Left/right, it's awesome.  Not sure about the people who say it launches to high for them, I don't notice this at all.

I put a Project X Black in My Razr Fit (standard) and am really liking it. I only have one round and range time on it, but it is working out well for me. I got the 6.5 and tipped it .5" because I was worried about the higher launch people were talking about. Thankfully it has worked out great. I am hitting high, mid spin bombs with it. I don't have trackman numbers yet, but will get them as soon as I can. It feels very smooth, much like the other Project X series, but easier to load for slower tempo swings. Def not boardy or harsh, but it is still tight. I feel that when I hit a draw for fade, I get a few more yards right and left than my Fubuki. For sure you can feel the lighter weight than its blue brothers, and that was my main reason for getting it. A good shaft and worth trying as long as you don't hit a high ball already.

I demoed a PX black 6.0 on a G20 driver.  For someone with a SS of around 100, it launched the ball much higher than expected and felt pretty whippy.  I was expecting it to play close to the RIP 60 alpha (which I also demoed) but it launched noticeably higher and turned over much more easily.  A smooth, controlled swing resulted in a nice mid-high trajectory with plenty of roll, but when I tried to step on it, the ball went left and I couldn't keep it straight.  Granted, it felt smoother than the RIP but for me it played more like a mid to mid-high launch/mid spin shaft.  When I came home, I checked the Ping website and the 6.0 flex apparently has a torque rating of 4.6!  No wonder if felt so soft.

Has anyone hit both the previous blue version and the black? How do they compare?

Bump, can anyone compare blue to black yet? Love the blue 6.5, curious if I could go to black and lose 7 grams, maybe get a little higher flight?
