As far as I know it is based on exemptions and performance stars. I think a certain amount of performance stars equals a exemption. Who ever has the most PS gets in first. Again I'm not totally sure if I'm exactly right so you can read up more on it from these links... Link 1... Link 2

First off I'd like to say that I'm new to AJGA. This will be my first summer playing in them.
I'm trying to sign up for the Gary Gilchrest in Ringgold, GA. The projected field size is 96- 24 girls and 72 boys. There are 98 boys trying to get in and about 40 of them are exempt. Does this mean that there are 26 alternates? How do they choose who gets to play?
All help is appreciated.

Ok I Gotcha. Yeah that course is ridiculously tight with lots of o.b. fortunately I had a great driving week and missed only 3 fairways that week
Great playing man! What state are you from? Do you play in SJGT or USJGT?

Hi all,
My name is Roseanna Smith and I'm VP of Communications for the AJGA. I'd like to recommend that you call our Player Services department (770) 868-4200 to discuss PBE (how to get into events) and any other questions you may have. Navigating junior golf can be tricky, but our staff works with many parents and players each day (members or not) to look at factors like age, scoring, location, etc, to recommend some pathways and questions to consider. Feel free to call or send us an e-mail at ajga@ajga.org to get some help!
