Picked these up over the weekend.  The M80W wood set is 1,2,3,4.  They have been refinished and reshafted.  The Tommy Armour 985T irons are 2-9 plus an Armour 152T double service wedge.  They have the original shafts but have been regripped.  I'm not sure what I'm going to do with these.  I don't really have any left handed clubs in the collection but with Bubba's win Sunday, who knows?

Man, both the woods and irons look like my Jimmy Demarets. And the wedge is pretty much exactly the wedge I have except mine has Macgregor written on it.

Does your 2-iron have a fair bit of offset to it? My set has one shape for the 7, 8, 9 irons and another shape for 3, 4, 5, 6 but the 2-iron is the only club that has any noticeable offset.

The MacGregor MT Tourney  M-80 EOM persimmon woods were limited editions back then in 1955.

Yours are 1,2,3, 4? They have been refinished.  The set I have is 1,3,4,5....and this is the 5 wood...pretty rare for then.



The original Winged MT M80 color is what Freddie and Teevons have called either "eggplant" or "royal purple".

According to Dave Wood, it was a very painstaking process for MacGregor to duplicate it for the Centennial Edition Woods.

As for those really nice 985 irons, if you're interested in trading them for something RH, let me know....

No, the Tourney name and the Tommy Armour name are in the exact opposite positions.

Do you have any sets of macgregor colokroms you would want to sell? macgregor wedges, sand wedges, woods like the m85?  I'd like to see pictures of the faces of the colokroms if you have them.  Thanks.
