I think we need to reinvigorate the Goldwin AVDP with these ultra-lightweight shafts!

I think this was designed for the Callaway C4! wow, interested to hear specs, esp. torque and bend profile.  If they could copy the 8aa4 profile into a lightweight that would be awesome!

God Bless

Way too light for me. I'd never go under 60g.

I can understand the benefits of such a light shaft for womens or seniors clubs, but to me it seems pointless having such a light shaft in a mens driver.

Does anyone know of any PGA Tour pros who use 40-60g shafts in their drivers? I reckon you could probably count them on one finger.

Man, I bet my tempo would SUFFER.

However, I do want to try that shaft. I'm a PX graphite fiend.

Like what appears to be a matte finish, woould look sweet in a i20... Wish they offered it in the regular PX, don t like the ultralight koolaid

Too light.  I'd rather see a 100g shaft with the X-stiff tip.  PX-10A2 is feeling a little whippy.

I do believe that's the same type of attitude players had when the original Ping eye was released...A few pros playing cavity backs now..

I just put the new PX Black 58g - 60g shaft into play in my Titleist 910 D3 and I am getting 20 to 30 more yards of roll out/distance. I use to have the 7C3 73g PX Blue Tour shaft before installing this one. With the way they have made the technology and the tip stiffness and overall the shaft plays the same as my old Blue shaft but the lighter weight is awesome with a even more penetrating ball flight! I wouldn't be afraid to try this one at all. Plus I know a Nationwide Tour Pro that I play with on regular basis that uses a 45g shaft in his Taylor Made so the lighter weight isn't a big deal you get used to it with your swing.

I know Ian Poulter is using the RIP Phenom 50x in his Encore right now.

This seems wayyyyy too light to me for a driver shaft.

Just to be sure though, why dont you grab one when they arent looking and send it to me for extended testing...

From time to time a TT engineer and sale rep play in our group and the sales rep had this in his driver.  I was surprised at how stable it was for being just 39 grams.  I didn't hit it b/c a 39 gram shaft doesn't interest me but he was hitting it pretty high.  It was a little windy when we played and I never saw his ball ballooning so it did seem to keep the spin in check pretty well.  It will be in normal PX paint once it officially comes out.  Flat black for graphite and yellow labels for irons is what TT uses for protos

I am just about to test the Project X black and love the idea of the lighter shaft. Looking forward to the review of this one!

A friend of mine went to HS with the designer of this shaft so he has had one for a few weeks. I got to hit and it is really impressive.  Mid Launching knuckle balls and really stable for being less than 40 grams.  It's going to be a great shaft for people looking for long and/or light but still low spin with out a ridiculously high swingweight.  My friend had it in a 909 at 46", said the swingweight was D4.

You have to understand these ultralight shafts are not meant for the heavy heads of yester-year. Newer ultralight heads will come out to pair with these so swing weight will remain the same, and stableness won't suffer.
I don't think there's much question that lighter = faster speed so that trend is definitely here to stay. It's just a matter of who can make the lightest shaft that's stiff enough, stable enough and durable enough.

The Aldila RIP Phenom 50X is getting a TON of play on tour.

I'm gaming a Project X in my driver now and love it, but if I can go lighter and keep the same low spin/launch this would be perfect.

Bob, you gonna put the shaft in the new TM quarterly driver release???
It's the new "Quantum Drive" Driver.
Makes the ball so fast it just Quantum Leaps into the fairway!

No, just want to try it in my ST which is now 2 years old because my Blue PX 6.0 has seen the most time in this head....those quarterly drivers go to far and it would be hard to write a review if I went that route...thanks for asking though.

Please send me the shipping info asap.........you are sending me one right?
