Just looking at what information has been posted on these shafts they are quite different beasts.

The Phenom NL looks like it is a low launching tip stiff profile and the Kioshi is a little softer in the mid and tip section which will make it launch higher.

I'm sure someone will chime in with some better information but from what I have gathered here reading about the two that is what I understand to be the difference.

I now have the Kiyoshi (purple) in both my 3W (75) and in my driver (65) and can tell you...they are better than awesome. For comparison, I hit a buddy's R11S that had the Phenom in it this past weekend and hated it. To me, it felt too loose and was much less consistent than the Kiyoshi. Could of been the TM head too.....no thanks. I have the Kiyoshi 65 in my i20 and it's a silky smooth monster. The key to Kiyoshi is to not play it too stiff.

Ask yourself how does a Kiyoshi compare to a Whiteboard... You should be set

Kiyoshi black is lower launching and spinning then the whiteboard and tour ad di in the same heads. Haven't hit the purple tho, but I am in love with the black!!

I've read everything I can find on the Phenom, (and I play the purple Kyioshi now)...I was just wondering if anyone had had a chance to try them both in the same head yet.
