Bumping this thread because I had similar questions.
I love the DI 7x in the driver and currently play the Axivcore green 85x and 95x in a strong 3 and 4 would, respectively (both SQ II tour)
I have two clubs that might get re-shafted, the first being a 15* SQ II tour issue with a stiff Fubuki (not a stiff flex guy, just what it came with) and the other being an Adams tour issue F11 ti that currently has a VTS Black 8x proto in it.
I hadn't thought of the BB (maybe for the driver) like the OP, but have been waffling on whether to go DI or DJ, both 8x. Since the axivcores I am accustomed to are pretty boardy and I fight a hook, I wondered if the DJ would not be for me?? I also turn over the VTS Black 8x a little more than I would like to. I never really hook the DI in the driver, unless I make a really bad swing.
I guess my question is this: Will the DJ be as accurate and fairly anti-left like the DI, but with a bit more spin/higher flight, or will it be too loose and spinny for someone who likes a boarder fairways shaft? Truth be told, I don't really like boardy, I just like accurate, and I have enjoyed the DI thus far because it has an amazing combo of feel and accuracy. I would like something equally consistent but great feeling for my fairway wood, I"m just not sure if that measn DI or DJ.
