The Masters seems to never disappoint. It's Bubba time!

So many twists and turns on the back 9. I can't remember a sports event that has kept me on the edge of my seat for so long. It's a great day for golf! :)

Bubba has been one of my favorites ever since I got into this game.  Great to see him get the biggest title in the golf.

A day left wanting in many respects throughout the afternoon. Save for Louis' incredible albatross on 2, the top of the leaderboard didn't see much back and forth. More a matter of guys giving away strokes, esp Mickelson and Hanson. But 15-playoff? That's what makes the Masters. Watson would've been the last of the final 15 or so that I would have thought had a chance this morning. Too wild and rollercoaster game - that's my perception of his game anyway, I don't know if that's accurate. And he didn't exactly march to the title like Schwarzel last year. But good lord, that was incredible from the pine straw. Just clutch, and a shot that will go down in major championship, and Masters, lore. Major kudos to Bubba and Oosthuizen for grind it out golf. They showed that excellence can be mixed with spectacular good fortune and occasional hiccups for a magnificent round of major championship golf. Even cooler to see a guy who wears it on his sleeve like that. Can see how he's a big fan favorite. All the better with the adoption angle and being a new father. What a week and year for Bubba Watson and family.

Birdied 13 through 16 but didn't march his way to the title? I wouldn't call that a crawl across the finish line.

What a great few weeks for Bubba. A Daddy and a major champ all at the same time!

Also the new #1 on the 2012 PGA TOUR money list.  What a horse race that title will be.

No kidding.  Started to lose interest after the front nine only to have one of the best finishes ever.

Good win by Bubba, well deserved.

IMO, the whole interviewing the wife on the phone is over the top. I thought it was annoying when we had to hear about Luke Donalds's wife's twitter updates during a tournament. It's almost like they are trying to compete for attention.

i agree, i am not a bubba fan but he never went backwards and he did birdie 4 in a row on the back nine but i wished he could have made the putt on the first playoff hole. i'm still not a fan but he deserved to wear the green jacket.

Can you just take it easy? Just a little?

Mozart and Picasso versus Bubba Watson!!

Very creative, imaginative, gutsy golfer. That's about it. Stop tossing the word genius around, please.

It takes a genius to write Don Giovanni. It does not take a genius to win the Masters.

After watching the ferehty show I thought this guy is a cocky jerk.

However he played the back nine better then anybody else and deserved the win.

I admire his individuality. He doesn't do what he's "supposed" to do, and at his level that's remarkable.

Id say so, yes

He has a high level of ability with respect to spatial reasoning

Combined with an excellent imagination and physical ability that combines raw power and surgical precision

On a side note, I wish another certain golfer with similar attributes could find them again and get away from a strictly quantitative method of playing golf

All I know is he's great at visualizing and shaping shots. I have read that he thinks he has ADHD, so maybe if one part of his brain isn't "normal" then another part of his brain might be more advanced. Maybe this explains his ability to perform amazing shots without the benefit of a swing coach or video feedback. He is very gifted.

I think Louis' demeanor probably helped him more than anything today. And I really thought Bubba couldn't really focus enough to win a major (i.e. 2010 PGA). But the way he looked on the 72nd hole showed me that he can get it done. Bubba really did look possessed out there on the back nine. Not really rushing it but taking one shot at a time. I do wonder if the floodgates will open for him now. Now comparing Phil's shot on 13 and Bubba's on 10, I would have to go with Bubba's (a much harder shot to hit. Louis O said it looked like a curved ball). We all kinda knew Phil was going to pull the 2nd on 13 off.

Great job Bubba.

If the guy ever learns how to putt the rest of the field is in trouble.
