If he does - it won't be at the masters. He missed the cut.

The Masters is his first missed cut this year, don't think the changing is really affecting his game. Posted Image  He has always messed with equipment, some guys are like that, Jim Furyk and Charles Howell are the same way.  Changing equipment all the time might work for some guys but not for others, no different than a golf swing working for one guy and not for another as well.

I can change drivers easily, but everything else I get to "feely" with.. I just am suprised that guys are able to play well changing irons all the time, that seems like it would make the game so much harder than it already is unless he just changes heads and keeps the shafts and swingweight and total weight the same, and then you just have to adjust to bounce and flight and feel difference which still seems hard to me..

Some guys seem to need the newness to keep them mentally engaged.  It's a huge testament to Ping engineering that KJ would bag set of cast clubs after playing two of the finest forgings out there.

This isnt leading up to the swing speed that you never mention first is it?

This isn't about my swing speed, it's about KJ's irons, so please grow up a little and not turn this thread around too.

I like the idea that he use to game the Miura's but if he feels the Ping are better for him now than i hope it works out for him.

He has had Ping irons in the bag in the past - including a win a couple of years ago.

Golf swing is organic. It changes all the time...it is important that the clubs match the player's current swing and needs...KJ felt that I20s flew little bit higher than the Miuras(he kept the same kbs shafts with exact same cpm and swing weight);therefore landing little softer with more spin right now...last year at Masters, he played g15 with 6i,5i,4i and 3i adams hybrids to hit ball higher...He might switch back to Miuras or something else.

Do the i20's have a soft feel?  If KJ can go from Miura's to these they must...

I heard he was switching irons so much because the weak and brittle KBS Tours that he plays kept breaking near the hosel.
