So we all know a lot of companies dont produce the products their pros play or wear, so I think we need to do a little encouraging to PING to produce that hat... Post in here if you want them to produce it for the public!

Bingo.

But Ping could reproduce a similar hat for retail if demand was high enough.

The Bubba visor is now available, and the DJ Hat is in the TaylorMade stable.

I'm surprised that Ping has not capitalized on HMs hat yet?

Just say NO!  Those hats are hideous and shouldn't be issued to tour players, the general public or any human that wants to look at all respectable.

Just so we are clear, I hate those hats!

Is that definitive enough of an answer?

I think it would be cool.  Lots of guys wearing them now.  Kind of an updated look. That said I wear the classic visor.  But everyone has their own style.

Are you opposed to these hats if the bill is bent like on a normal one?
In that case the only difference would be the higher profile of the head, which I think is just more comfortable.

He wears sunglasses when he plays. If he wore normal billed hats they'd be sitting on the crown of his head because you can't bend a bill without it touching the thick frames that he wears. JAT

My son wears them, all be it backwards off the course though.  The Mahan caps are actually Under Armor caps that PING logos on.  PING actually is coming out with their own flat bills.  Here are three of them my son has along with a Mahan cap.

Breck,

Stratton gets some pretty awesome stuff shipped to your place! Do you know if PING is releasing a fitted flat bill? Is Stratton still wearing Puma stuff too?

Hmm, I prefer high crown visors to anything but flat bills are a second, the Mahan hat looks better than the PING flatbills, the bill on the PINGS are too short and the snap-back needs to change to fitted.

Nerg,
It was my understanding that PING is bringing these to the market.  We will see his rep at the tournament today and I will confirm with him.  As far as the snap back, for some reason, Stratton loves the snap back to wear backwards.  I don't get it, but when he got them, I heard him comment positively about the snap back.  He still wears all Puma clothes and shoes.  He wears a lot of PING headgear though.

Snapbacks are back "in" now. I would like to get my hands on one of those!

I'd wear them for sure. I am a PING fanatic, I currently wear the Nike flat bills hoping PING will release these. The answer I got was there are no plans in the works right now, but he couldn't say for sure if they would or wouldn't be released in the future, it very well could happen.

hahaha I do as well. I've actually looked everywhere to get one, even search ebay once in a while. The hats on under armour's sight are the exact same hate without the Ping logo. They definately need to come together an mass produce them it'd be a huge profit for both. I think I'm going to just buy the UA hat, and have a place stitich the PING  logo on. Here's a link to the hats they have a solid variety of colors.

The OP said to post in this thread if you DO want the hat released so that we may have some way to gauge demand, not if you don't like them. No one's gonna force you to get one, and quite frankly I don't care that you don't like them. Please don't pollute the thread with your irrelevant  commentary.

Yes, PING please release the hat! It's totally sweet. And make them fitted, please, I'm not a fan of snapbacks.

I own several Titelist / New Era fitted flat bill hats.  I wouldn't trade them for any hat on the market.  Comfortable (because you can get them to the exact size!).  Useful (because you can easily wear sunglasses with them as opposed to a curved-bill hat).

It kills me that with the amount of money that golf companies charge for clubs, balls, etc, that they produce cheap / adjustable / snap-back / flexfit hats for the public,  Hell, I would rather pay $40 for a fitted Ping / New Era hat than spend $1 on an adjustable Nike golf hat.

I'm not a fan of flat-brims, they don't suit me at all, but if you can get away with it then go for it.  I actually wish they'd bring out some of the flat brim designs in regular shape.

IMO though, Hunter Mahan can't get away with it - they look terrible.  Either he has a pinhead or his cap is 5 sizes too big.

And I've never had a problem wearing sunglasses with a regular curved brim - don't understand that argument at all.
