I just bought a Ping Tour W wedge 56 degree 10 bounce but haven't received it yet.I currently play Ping S58 irons and a Vokey wedge. I wanted to try the Ping wedges out for replacements. Does anyone still game these wedges?

I do as well and absolutely love them.  Best wedges I've played to date.

Funny, I used the tour w wedges with my S58s. I just switched
to S56s but still have the tour w wedges in the bag.

They are good wedges as long as the groove rule doesn't
affect you. Otherwise, go with tour s.

Just the post I was looking for. I just traded in my Mizzy t-11 wedges for a tour-s 50, tour-w 54, 58. I will be hitting them tomorrow but have heard great things

I freakin' love the 50*/12 bounce Tour W gap wedge I bought a while back.  It became my go-to club around the greens and I don't recall ever mishitting it on an approach shot - just sets up to the ball so perfectly for my eye.

I took a 52 Tour-s wedge and bent it to 50* actually. But man that wedge bent like a forged head. I thought I was going to snap it

I have some Tour-W's, and recently bought a new Tour-S.  Love them.  If you watch ebay you can scoop them up for great prices (sometimes).  They have a smig firmer feel than a carbon steel wedge but they are not harsh in the least.  The 17-4 stainless is uber durable too - they should outlast a carbon steel wedge by a factor of two before the grooves are pounded out.

I ordered a 56/10 Tour W back when I ordered my G10's several years ago.  It is my favorite club in the bag.  So much so that I ordered a Tour S 56/12 with with my new clubs.  I've used Titleist and Clevelands, but like these best.

Love chipping around the greens with my 54*.  Very predictable and the bounce really helps avoid the stubs.  They don't spins as much as Titleist and Callaways, but I like that on full swings.

Still game a 52 and 58.   I saw Lee Westwood go through his bag on Golf Channel and he still has them but with conforming grooves.  I had Vokeys and like these better and they are easier on the soft covers so don't leave them beat after one shot.

I have played the 54 and 58 for the past 3 years love them, they fit in will with my i20s 3-u.  I have CFS X in the i20s and s300 in the wedges.

Just what I had hoped to hear. I can't wait to get this wedge. I bought the 56 and now I will work on finding the 52 and 60 to match it. I am replacing some Vokeys with the Pings.

Funny - hit the it his forum to do some wedge research. I have a 54 and 60 with the wrx TS grind. These things are awesome around the green, but my crappy swing is making it tough on full shots, because these things slice right into the turf.

I might try to find something a little more forgiving on slightly fat shots. Kind of sad, because I quit playing golf for 3 years like a month after I got these..

Keep an eye out in bst for these ;)

I have played the Ping Tour wedges (52/56/60) and the Tour-W (50) for a few years. I just picked up a 54 and 58 in the Tour-S with the KBS Pro shafts and they are outstanding! I love the way they feel and perform. I am now thinking of replacing the 50 Tour-W with the Tour-S.

Love love love these wedges.

I game the S 52 and W 56 & 60.

From the fairway and rough at 50-115 yards, I've never been so accurate.

Around the greens I find these wedges will take getting used after gaming Vokeys from 2008-2012 and Cleveland RTG 588s from 2000-2007.

Having said that, if I can get these dialed in around the greens there will be no turning back.

Hi

Big Ping fan, had been playing S58 with CS-lite stiff shafts, now I20s. My wedges were Taylor rac MB, 50 & 56 with S300 shafts.  Love the look and great feel. I switched to Tour-W, same lofts but with AWT shafts. First time using them left every chip way short. Totally lost feel for distance. Checked swing weight almost the same. I did, after a number of rounds got used to the different results.

Long story short, played two rounds recently with my Taylor RAC MBs and the matching wedges. My feel for chipping came back like flipping on a switch. Just re-shafted the Tour-Ws with S300. No need to go back to the Taylors again. Shaft weight and balance = feel.
