Default swingweight is D5.  The regular version is D6/D8.  Is this a smaller driver head?

Release date?

May 5th, I'm told, is the release date.

Head is the same, with a different paint job and more adjustable hosel.

That said, the internal weighting could be slightly different

Is it the hosel or the shaft tip adapter that has more adjustability on the TA version? I was hoping it would just be the shaft so that a stock head would work.

Awesome info, thanks!  Did they quote a price by chance?

I believe it adjusts the same way, only the TA version has a second ring like the Titleist adaptor to allow for extra adjustability.  As for the TA adaptor being compatiable with the standard, I have no idea unfortunately.  Certainly could be...

If it is that's a slick move, between the matte finish and PX Black shaft it's basically a replica of the i20 and I like that, might need to ditch my standard RF for this bad momma...BB

I dont get that it's matte black from that description. The only mention of black is the PVD which is the process that makes the face and sole black...

Any other Razr fit owners feel like we got shafted? Literally, the stock shaft in the Fit is about as worthless and far from "stiff" as physically  possible.

I just ordered a RF with Graphite Design shaft. Does anyone know how the project x shaft will compare and do you think the added adjustability is worth the wait. I have demoed the RF at my club and it has performed very well with the stock stiff shaft.

Not at all.  That is why they offer optional shaft upgrades.

Which I understand but at the same time should the stock made for shaft in stiff flex really be closer to most regular flex shafts? Arguement isn't the lack of options just the fact that I bet the project X in stiff is about 4 steps above the stiffness of the regular fit's "stiff" shaft.

I just preordered one on Amazon.com (had some AMEX points) said MSRP is $625 which means normally about $499 in shops. I ordered with a stiff shaft (didn't give an option) if the Project X Black is as you say 4 up from normal stiff I hope it is a 6.0 or better a 5.5  They claim available on 5-04-2012. I was going to get a Razr Fit today or tomorrow, just sold my Razr Hawk glad I stumble across it there as I was looking.

I thought that intially - but after hitting it, and comparing it to the Fubuki Tour 63, I think the Rip'd NV is a perfect FIT for the RAZR.

Weird, I checked Amazon.  They have it listed with no pic, for $366.  In the description it says sold and shipped by amazon.com.  An error on their part maybe?  But they only have it in 10.5 R flex.  Maybe one of you guys could go after it anyways. I don't see myself ditching my Fit with AD DI7 for more adjustability.  Maybe next year :)

I was looking to reduce the cost by using some points looking at Razr X and Razr fit and there it was in the search results $366.00 net ot me after points $225 couldn't pass. If I don't like it I'm sure I can get rid of it. I doubt I won't like it Cally has been my driver of choice for the last 10 years or so. So ther eyou have it. I guess I was lucky. Gonna go buy some Mega Millions tickets tomorrow.

The worst they could do is refund you and cancel the order.  It appears to be sold directly by Amazon.  I haven't purchased much through them, so I don't know how they handle issues like this.  You aren't spending my money so I say go for it! :drinks:

I'm right there with you man, I ordered a 8.5 for the same price.  I was prepared to spend $200 more for this driver actually.  I have never bought anything from amazon so I hope that we don't get scammed...
