If there are any other pros here passing time in the off season, speak up. I won't ask your name but it would be great to hear where you will be playing in '07.

Mostly the Nationwide Tour. I will play some Hooters Tour events in weeks I can't get in. 18-20 events in all. Then I will either have a card or off to Q-school I go.

Not to intrude, but I would LIKE to know your names, as it would give me someone to root for! Of course, I can understand you wanting your privacy, as well...

I know it is a long time until next April or May, but if you make the Fort Smith Nationwide event, let me know. PM me and we'll go out and have a few beers or play my home course which is where they play some of the Pro Am events.

I gotta say, does it really matter who they are, just as long we know that there are some. Now we can be assured that we maybe getting a perspective on some questions or equipment that would not otherwise would not be available to us non-tour golfers. Thats more important to me, but heck what do i know

I agree that if they want their privacy, they deserve their privacy.

It'd be nice if we had a locked thread that listed the real names of the pros who are members here without telling what their forum names are...only person who would know would be one of the owners of the site. Then, we could respond on how they're playing and give support.

I know it'd be interesting to me to know that I'm watching a guy on tour who I can congratulate/support directly.

Just an idea, and like I said they do deserve their privacy.

Only matters to the extent that I would like to root for them.

I certainly understand the need for privacy though. I would be hesitant to give out my information on any message board, and I'm a nobody. Although, Gavin seems to have handled his "celebrity" status quite well with no ill effects (speaking of which, where has Gavin been lately?)

Oops. Since there is more than one Gavin here, I probably should have been more specific:

gslabbert = Gavin from The Big Break VI.

With the club ho's on this board, I would be SO afraid to let anybody know I was a pro golfer. They would be hitting me up for clubs all the time. And, just think if Phil Mickelson was on here, how much crap would be in his inbox after the U.S. Open last year if we all knew he was here and his screen name. I can understand why somebody would not want to reveal themself here.
I would also like to know who was who as a way to root for them, but I can respect their privacy.

RE: unsolicted swag requests. We could enact a new Man Law: Make an unsolicited free swag request from a pro on the board and have your request immediately posted to a public thread for appropriate ragging from the entire membership.

You never know about the pro's and where they are going to end up. They are humans just like you and me, well except for Tiger when he has a lead. A friend of mine here in the Atlanta area was at the PGA Tour Superstore browsing in the used club section and looked up and there was a gentleman looking at the used clubs also. He made eye contact with the man and said, "Mr. Nelson, I just wanted to say congratulations on your election to the Hall of Fame." You got it, Larry Nelson, hall of famer looking at the used clubs in the golf store just like you and me!
I thought that was pretty cool!

And I love the Cub Begger rule!!!!!!!!! You beg, we get to publicly talk about you! It could be like the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld, "NO MORE GOLFWRX FOR YOU!" and they are banned from the site, for atleast a couple of years, no decades, no centuries!
