Specs are as follows...
Shafts: DG tour issue S-300
Loft: Std
Lie: 2* flat (on the button)
Length: Std
Swing weight: D-3 (every iron)
PW- Perfect size for a pitching wedge, looking down from any lie breathes much confidence... not too big, not too small. I would say just right! Distance was up about 3 to 4 yds for me on the PW, 9 & 8i. Feels is SUPER soft as well.
7i- Again the perfect size and shape for a 7i. This is where I found the distance increase even more than the shorter irons. I would say 5yds on avg. Super soft feel even on slight misses from the center of the face... toe or heel.
4i- Yes, perfect size for a 4i as well... this was really the test for me because many long irons look big from heel to toe and the AMP Forged long irons are perfect! Same distance gain as the mid irons... about 5yds.
Overall, I was surprised more than anything! Look was great so I thought man, I really hope they aren't tough to hit... I hit on the range before the round and that was NOT the case, they were easy to hit and I fell in love but, still thought the course would really be the test! Well, I played them 2 complete rounds and as I said in my AMP Hybrid thread, I bagged them instantly! This is first set of irons Ive had in 4 to 5 years that I can really flight the ball high and low... it just seemed easy. I could not believe I purposely left all my gamers at home. I did this for two rounds to give the new CPG stuff a really fair shot... after all I was treated like a tour player for a day. I felt I owed it to ROBO and CPG Pimp Daddy Mac to do so and IT WORKED OUT! My old gamers haven't left the golf room and I don't think they will unless they are in a box to whoever, wherever! I'm not one to jump to one brand in the bag so fast but, I will be playing CPG this season. Bottom line is... grab a set, you will NOT be disappointed.
They do look nice, reminds me of AP-2 like someone else said. Q: Is it really DG Tour Issue S300? I had no idea they came in that flex. Something new?
Yes, DG tour issue S-300... not sure if they are tour only but, I have always asked for them and received.

Not sure on that. I can ask but, I did see them in steps 2 and 4... they do NOT look hittable to me but, doesn't mean you cant hit them. I'll get back to you on that.
Thanks.

Smooth as butter.
I had not considered this set prior to yesterday.
I will have some very difficult decisions this season. I am not a club ho by any means, but I will be testing these, MP-59 and Ping I20.
I hit them all very well, but I was not on a monitor.
I liked the feel of the kbs shafts, as I had never hit them before.

Yes, I do have S-300 but, the Cobra guy's are putting KBS in a swell. Really smooth from what I hear.

Agreed.
The clubs do look awesome though... definitely going to go hit them at Golf Galaxy this week.
Nice comments!
I'm guessing the first was from an Ole Miss fan, the only Division 2 team allowed to play in the SEC, and the other from one of the few teams Tennessee beat last year!
As for the irons, the concept is just a cosmetic spin on the AP2's (rubber insert in cavity, heel and toe weighting). But the AP2's are better looking clubs.
Go Vols!!

The stock kbs s+ is a benefit for me as I always thought the kbs s was a touch soft. IMO they are a great match with the head. It is also workable in all directions and very forgiving on misfits. I am 47 and thought the orange would bother me, but it actually looks good and the 3gen grips are nice, very tacky.
I bought a Callaway TA driver yesterday and returned it towards these irons....wouldn't leave the store without them.
Big Ben you are going to love these, and I am a fan of the s3 pro too.......
