You can see as a bunch AMP Forged have great looking cavities... the Orange really looks great to my eye. I've only had great compliments so far...

Specs are as follows...
Shafts: DG tour issue S-300
Loft: Std
Lie: 2* flat (on the button)
Length: Std
Swing weight: D-3 (every iron)
iphone4 3-20-2012 2 154.JPG

PW- Perfect size for a pitching wedge, looking down from any lie breathes much confidence... not too big, not too small. I would say just right! Distance was up about 3 to 4 yds for me on the PW, 9 & 8i. Feels is SUPER soft as well.

iphone4 3-20-2012 2 156.JPG
iphone4 3-20-2012 2 157.JPG

7i- Again the perfect size and shape for a 7i. This is where I found the distance increase even more than the shorter irons. I would say 5yds on avg. Super soft feel even on slight misses from the center of the face... toe or heel.
iphone4 3-20-2012 2 159.JPG
iphone4 3-20-2012 2 160.JPG
iphone4 3-20-2012 2 161.JPG

4i- Yes, perfect size for a 4i as well... this was really the test for me because many long irons look  big from heel to toe and the AMP Forged long irons are perfect! Same distance gain as the mid irons... about 5yds.

Overall, I was surprised more than anything! Look was great so I thought man, I really hope they aren't tough to hit... I hit on the range before the round and that was NOT the case, they were easy to hit and I fell in love but, still thought the course would really be the test! Well,  I played them 2 complete rounds and as I said in my AMP Hybrid thread, I bagged them instantly! This is first set of irons Ive had in 4 to 5 years that I can really flight the ball high and low... it just seemed easy.  I could not believe I purposely left all my gamers at home. I did this for two rounds to give the new CPG stuff a really fair shot... after all I was treated like a tour player for a day. I felt I owed it to ROBO and CPG Pimp Daddy Mac to do so and IT WORKED OUT! My old gamers haven't left the golf room and I don't think they will unless they are in a box to whoever, wherever! I'm not one to jump to one brand in the bag so fast but, I will be playing CPG this season. Bottom line is... grab a set, you will NOT be disappointed.

The actually look like a cleaner version of the AP2, that is until the orange.  If they would have left that out, and the AMP wording as well this club would be really great looking.  I will still give them a try none the less.  I have only hit a ball with the back of the club afew times at this point.

Is it just me, or does the AMP logo look like "PIMP"?  :)

I have hit every new club on the market and only three have me contemplating giving them a trial run:

Ping I20 Driver - very long, had moderate results with accuracy but Ping's standard tour shaft is a bit torquey which was not helping matters.  The right shaft and swingweight could make this unbeatable.

Cobra ZL Encore - very long and very easy to hit.  Demo day guys only had two X flex shafts (stock and 'ahina) but both had similar results; long, high bombs with really good accuracy.  Stock shaft was a bit loose with the 'ahina a bit better. Will be getting one once I get the shaft nailed down.

Cobra Amp Forged Irons - Perfect look in the playing position, just a little offset with everything in the right proportions.  Very soft feeling and comes standard with KBS Tours and R.E.L. 3Gen grips.  About as good as it gets!

While the I20 is long the ZLE just seemed to be easier to hit which led it to become a point and shoot type of club and it was just as long as the I20.

The AMP forged irons caught my attention on the very first ball I hit.  Soft feel and perfect ball flight.  Easy to work in either direction.  I spent a good 45 minutes hitting these at a demo day.  I love my current set of irons (CG16 Tours T stamp) but could easily switch to these with zero concerns.  And I just may if my inner ho doesn't shut up!

Cobra has some of the best products this year and I've never been a big fan of Cobra.  I've owned two Cobra clubs my entire life.

Really interesting appearance. The orange on a forged CB is a little strange, but it's CPG. I like the appearance of the face head-on - reminds me of Hogan forged irons!

They look good at address, and the orange really grabs the eye in the bag.  I have recently become a fan of more of the satin look, but these have a great look.  As some have said, seems like the same target as the AP2, which is a good target to go after, player up to mid handicaps will be interested in these if they play well, which I think they will.  Enjoy em!!!

Wow those are bright!  I'm not a fan of Cobra irons, but my scratch handi buddy swears by them and has a combo set which are his gamers.  Puma/Cobra have been really stepping it up though in the last few years with their offerings.  They've come a long way since the day of the good ole King Cobra oversized irons, lol.

Hated the way these looked when I first saw them announced, but from address they are kind of perfect.  I didn't read the full article, but I presume lofts are jacked a bit.  They are definitely loud, but I'd play them.  :)

Wow those look perfect at address. I really like the shiny look better than the satin. These look great. Cobra is making some quality stuff this year. I just ordered an AMP driver and cannot wait for it to come in.

They do look nice, reminds me of AP-2 like someone else said. Q: Is it really DG Tour Issue S300? I had no idea they came in that flex. Something new?

I hit these a couple weeks ago at a demo day and they feel really good even better then my AP2's. But the fall flight was to high so I will be sticking with my cobra s3 pros and hope the blade comes out soon.

Yes, I agree. When I heard what the price point wa going to be, I was pretty surprised. They should fly off the shelves after some demo's and the word gets out how soft and playable they are. The performance was key for me... from any lie too.
