You can see as a bunch AMP Forged have great looking cavities... the Orange really looks great to my eye. I've only had great compliments so far...
Specs are as follows...
Shafts: DG tour issue S-300
Loft: Std
Lie: 2* flat (on the button)
Length: Std
Swing weight: D-3 (every iron)
PW- Perfect size for a pitching wedge, looking down from any lie breathes much confidence... not too big, not too small. I would say just right! Distance was up about 3 to 4 yds for me on the PW, 9 & 8i. Feels is SUPER soft as well.
7i- Again the perfect size and shape for a 7i. This is where I found the distance increase even more than the shorter irons. I would say 5yds on avg. Super soft feel even on slight misses from the center of the face... toe or heel.
4i- Yes, perfect size for a 4i as well... this was really the test for me because many long irons look big from heel to toe and the AMP Forged long irons are perfect! Same distance gain as the mid irons... about 5yds.
Overall, I was surprised more than anything! Look was great so I thought man, I really hope they aren't tough to hit... I hit on the range before the round and that was NOT the case, they were easy to hit and I fell in love but, still thought the course would really be the test! Well, I played them 2 complete rounds and as I said in my AMP Hybrid thread, I bagged them instantly! This is first set of irons Ive had in 4 to 5 years that I can really flight the ball high and low... it just seemed easy. I could not believe I purposely left all my gamers at home. I did this for two rounds to give the new CPG stuff a really fair shot... after all I was treated like a tour player for a day. I felt I owed it to ROBO and CPG Pimp Daddy Mac to do so and IT WORKED OUT! My old gamers haven't left the golf room and I don't think they will unless they are in a box to whoever, wherever! I'm not one to jump to one brand in the bag so fast but, I will be playing CPG this season. Bottom line is... grab a set, you will NOT be disappointed.
