I just got this putter back from Tom and I have to say that the job he did was amazing.  First of, Tom is a complete gentleman and a true professional who cares about his work and his customer.  I have never order a custom putter from Tom and he treated me like I was a long time customer.  It was very humbling and refreshing.

I got this Made for the Tour putter from Ebay, at a really good price, less than an OTR.  The putter was hacked badly and it needed some serious work.  The seller was very honest and told me that Cameron refused to work on the putter because it had some alleged aftermarket work, but the stamps were authentic.  So, I took a chance with it.

After doing some research and seen some of his restoration work, I knew that Tom was the man for the job.  The putter was very light after all the alleged aftermarket work that was done to it.  So Tom had to be very creative to bring this bad boy back to life.  The end result is just the most amazing restoration job I have seen.  The welding job to repair the topline was just fantastic.

Tom welded a LN Plumbers neck to it and added some Tungsten Weights to bring the putter to a nice weight/swingweight combination.  He also applied a 3x Black finish, a new shaft, and a new grip.

I want to thank Tom and his staff for a job well done and for a customer service I have never experienced before.  Please enjoy the before and after pics and join me in praising Tom Slighter for an outstanding job!

Nice purchase and project. It turned out purdy! Kudos to TS. That thing looked like it was dragged alongside a freight train and now would look great on worm cam at Augusta!

Tom's work is pretty amazing.  He did an amazing job on a Fastback that I sent to him.  It is easily the nicest putter I've ever held.

Took it out to the course for the first time and the feel is amazing.  The long neck is just amazing, it gives the putter a very nice balance.

Finally decided to give this beauty a spin on the course.  I have to say that carpet putting was great, greens putting?  Just plain awesome.  The putter just feels great and it rolls the ball very nicely.

I am glad that Tom was able to salvage this poor putter :-)

Looks great!  Is the 3x Black finish relatively maintenance free?  Meaning you don't have to worry about it rusting like a raw/oil finish would?
