Someone gave me this putter which belonged to a World top 20 player, and I was wondering if anyone knew if there's many of them around and what it might be worth? Thanks in advance.

Looks to be the 001 with a sight line. Looks nice I would say maybe 200.  Also that doesn't look face balanced to me.  U sure?

If you lay the shaft over your palm and the face points up then its face and if the toe points down then then you have all the weight in the heel so the toe will close when your putting. If its face balanced id love to buy it. What length shaft? White grip or red grip?

It's at work I'll double check the face balance tomorrow. 35" with a Nike red/black grip. It was also used by Tiger in a putting exhibition in Dubai as he'd apparently left his where he was staying.

tiger uses 001. 006 is really rare and glover and cink used it to win their majors. its worth a lot im pretty sure!

Ye, just a Method with the normal Anser shape. Definitely got some toe hang there.

I know some people round the bumpers on the 001 but I like the square heel and toe.  Really frames the ball well

If you have prevenence, it'll be worth more. Will has one right now and I want to say its priced around $400.

2 different putters. The one in this thread has sight line on top flange and blank back flange and the ebay listing is the opposite. Also, Prototype stampings are different.

Wow, already at 5 hundee.  Put in Rory's name and double your money, easy.... It's confirmed he will be using it this weekend! Surely every announcer/writer in golf will be commenting on his new clubs.  More press = more money!!!  Just Do It!

Good luck with the sale, can't wait to see what this finishes up at....  Especially if he dominates Tiger.  Boo yeah! So happy the season has begun.

I'd pull the auction listing from this thread, just to avoid confusing someone.  If they don't read down far enough, they may think its the same putter.

This one would be like a comparison between a 009 and a 1996 Newport.  The putter says 006 Proto but is isn't even close.

Nike's Method 006 is just that, Nike's 006.  I don't know what you are trying to say with your post.  Its wasn't crafted by Nike to literally replace Rory's Scotty a month ago.  The 006 has been around for years and that's probably what Rory felt comfortable switching to.  

(Yes, I am aware it is basically an Anser descendant like most putters are today so they are all copies in that regard, etc etc etc)

Exactly if those cameron putters didn't have his name all over them, they wouldn't go for $350 + it is rediculus  !!!
The originall anser from around 1966, is probably just as good.
