Shot a 4 over 76, 38/38 on my home course at 7135 yds and course rating of 73.  I hit 12 out of 14 fairways and 13 out of 18 greens.  1 double from a mishit iron, bad chip and a 3 putt (head up my butt), an errand drive causing an unplayable and then a 3 putt for a 2nd double, and crappy putting cost me, I had 34 putts.  Part of my problem was that I wasn't getting the ball close to the holes for reasonable birdie putts.  Something is going on in my swing where I am coming up 5-10 yds short, even on 100 yd shots.  I feel like I am swinging well, hitting the sweet spot, but maybe just not firing the hips or something.  So I felt like my last 4-5 rounds could have been 2-3 strokes better.  I guess I need more range time to figure it out and groove the swing a little more.  I guess I have to remember that we are still early into the season so I am inspired to shoot better scores by mid summer!

Didn't keep score.....but ignoring my first 2 holes (long story short....dummy mark on my driver and 5 snap hook 5 woods in a row....yeah....let us never speak of these holes again), I played solid.....5 pars and 6 bogeys....which is pretty good for me.

Shot 73 yesterday at Stone Creek - Oregon City. Blustery with 30 mph winds.

2 Birdies, 3 bogies and at least 4 birdie putts left less than a foot short and right on line. Greens were SLOW and hard to get a good roll going. One bad bogey on 9, 60 yards in to a front pin with no bunkers in front - ouch.

Definitely one of the better ball striking rounds I have ever had. Wish the greens had been better, because I think I could have made a couple more. Rounds can always be better, but how I was hitting it - I felt like I should have shot 69/70

85 on a easy course, for some reason was really nervous for no good reason, really shaky front with a double on a par 5.  Settled down and had a more average +5 on the back.  Didn't make a single putt over 6 feet all day long and three 3 putts, yikes!

My Group shot -14 for my first scramble of the year.. it was an outing for work.. realistically could have been -18.. we had inside 60 yards on 3 holes and made pars. and made par on a 123 yard par 3.. shot our selves in the foot! oh well we won.. so it was a good day

played 50 holes on Saturday.  got out at 8:30 as a single (played really well, shot 76 1bird/5 bogeys).  Got back to the clubhouse to see if I could get back out, a 2some was just teeing off so I joined them (shot 80 2 birdies / 2 doubles).  We finished in just under 4 hrs.  Since it was only 2:40 we back to see if could get out again.  A bit of a back up but got back out at 3:30, played 9 (shot 39 1 bird / 1 double), play 10 and 11 then ran into a couple of 4somes stacked up.  With no one behind us we played #11 a few more times before calling it a day.  All in all a great day to be on the course.

played 18 on Sunday and hit it horribly.  shot 82 with so many saves I lost count.  definitely could have been in the upper 80's.  Oh well, back to the range.

I'll take the high in this thread. Shot an even 100! Woohoo! Haha I think it is my highest round since I was 12. Shot a 42 on the front with a lot of missed short putts and then on the 10th came our favorite S word in golf. Took 5 OB penalties and couldn't hit a club above a 9i. Limped in with a 3 putt on 18 for a 58. Needless to say .

On a positive note I don't think I will be going any higher this season. I can't even remember the last time I shot in the 90s but I have never had the S----- show mid-round.

Oh you just had to ask. Not today but yesterday this was my attempt at golf.  Had an up and down all over the place round. I had 4 birdies. Missed a 5ft eagle putt. A 4 putt triple! Two doubles. Ended up shooting 80. Walked off the course pleased with the way I hit the ball and frustrated with my ridiculous inconsistency.

Seems like another common is we all SUCK at putting...amazing it's probably what is worked on the least as well...

Top 10 toughest conditions I've played in today.  It was 56* degrees and I swear that the wind was gusting over 40mph on some holes, but a friend found a deal for a good course in the area for cheap so I said why not when he called me.  

Ended up going 39-41 which is pretty terrible for me, but did hit some very good 4-5 irons in the wind that I was very happy with.  Nothing like hitting dead into the wind on the 18th, all carry, from 190 (which would normally be a 6) with a hard-as-I-can-swing 4 and sticking it to 3 feet for eagle.  Missed the putt though.

Equitable stroke control was my best friend today. I struggled with a bad case of the shanks on hole #4 and #6. I worked through it though and a really bad day turned into a mediocre one.

Stone Creek is a fun course and you can't beat the $20 with a cart twilight rate.  I always shoot very low 70s when I play there.  It just suits my game I guess.

No round for me today.  Dropped my clubs off at the club fitter to get the bent, have c-tapers put in, get a new 3-wood, new hybrid and 3 new wedges.  As a send off to my old bag I played 5 rounds over the weekend:
Friday=Pumpkin Ridge: 80 (terrible chipping and putting)
Saturday=Morning Scramble/Afternoon 70 at Forest Hills
Sunday=Morning Men's Club 75 at Forest Hills/Afternoon 80 at The Reserve South (exhaustion set in on the 7th hole).

Shot 75-75 on Saturday. Birdied 18 on the first 18 to win our match. Sucked a 9 iron back about 20 feet that ended up about 3 feet from the cup. Played a skins match the 2nd 18, halved the first 7 holes, and I won the 8th with a birdie. Ended up taking home a LOT of money.

Shot 74 on my first scored outing. Been out a few times before but course wasn't even cut yet because of how wet, so mostly just played around. Shot 37 (+1) on each side. 1 Birdie and 2 Bogies on each. Putting was the main culprit. All the bogies could have been avoided with easy par save putts, but they either lipped out, or just didn't break like I thought they would. Also first scoring round with my MP-53's and I don't quite have my distances dialed in. Hoping to break par by June this year.
