Phil isn't testing KBS, and isn't switching shafts. He's playing (and is completely happy with) his current PX set up.
These pictures are from yesterday at Bay Hill.
Whatever KBS he hit or may try is only because he was playing a pro-am round. Not much different than if you let your buddy hit one of your clubs just to try it, hit it, or if you have another set of irons with shafts different than the ones you regularly play.

Either way OP, your title is misleading.
TITLE
"He is Playing KBS"
BODY OF POST
"No word if he will play them"

"How do YOU know?"
"What proof do YOU have?"
"Do you have pictures to substantiate your claim?"
"Those pictures don't prove anything?"
"You need better pictures.....the ones you posted don't prove anything"
"I won't believe it 'til I see it with my own eyes or you can post a video, sworn testimony or bring that person with you here to this site to back your claims"
"Just because the owner of the company is working with him AND he's been spotted playing them, doesn't mean anything."
"My brother's wife's cousin's sister's co-worker's aunt's doctor's 3rd wife's bartender says differently.....and I believe them"
....and the hits keep right on coming.
The times we live in (like this site) have really changed. It's a cynical world we live in, isn't it? I'd love to post that I know Phil's agent ("the coach"), worked with Gaylord Sports prior to their recent acquisition, know several of the closest people around Phil, and as a result, also know he is testing KBS shafts but I'd be asked to prove all that, too, and I won't play that game so I'll keep that to myself and folks can draw their own conclusions. When doubters do finally have their "proof," then it will all be old news.

Maybe the OP misworded the title and it should read Phil is trying out KBS shafts.
Either way IMO Phil should be playing C-Tapers like I do!!!!!!!

I've got no insider info, no pics, but I did watch 'The Range' last night and he was clearly warming up with a shaft that had the KBS sticker on it. It was the early morning scene where he was back to back on the range with Tiger. Whether he was testing or not, I'm unaware, but he was hitting a wedge with KBS in it.
Ha...or a PX with a KBS shaft label to get a bunch of GolfWRXers all fired up on a Thursday morning!!

You are angry in your defense of Phil's shafts.....are you ok after he switched from the Speeder in his driver to a Diamana?
Shot today at the Bay Hill....PX must have a new label that looks just like KBS and they must have steps.....

Ha, you’re missing the point, but thanks for taking the time to go find a Getty picture. And that sounds angry to you? Grin, no comment (other than to say it's at least less off base than the cynical comment).
In any event, with anger or cynicism or whatever you like, let me say again, Phil isn’t playing KBS, simple as that, and it’s misleading to suggest he is.
Tour players are trying out new shafts all the time (Phil is trying KBS; and has in the past as well). But until they actually put them in play or are considering a switch, saying they’re playing them is a bit misleading.
Kim has a job to do, a business to run; and like any other OEM, if you can get a name to try out your clubs, shafts, whatever, it’s good for business, publicity, maybe even convince someone to switch (notwithstanding that you can have specs built from one OEM to play just like a different OEM, labels aside).
Phil plays PX on Thursday through Sunday when it counts. That’s irrefutable. Appreciate your effort though.
